Question for sport quad riders

When I had the Raptor 660 a few years ago I felt the same way. These things are meant for little people.

I'm 6'1" and 220. It was like a bear riding a tricycle to me. I liked the performance and the fun factor of it but I was not comfortable riding it for very long. My sportsman johhny popper atv is much more realistic for me.

I look at pictures from when I had it and I just say, what an idiot I was for buying that.

yeah and the YFZ is even smaller than the raptor ...

wow bought one new in 87 i was 2 years old but I bought an 88 when i was about 14 and used to race it all the time kicking myself in the butt for letting some azz hat tyr to fix the tranny in it 4 yrs ago and its still in pieces

Those bottom ends are easy. What was the guy's problem ?

I picked up a 250x back then. There are still a lot of the 250r's out there

I just priced out what a LSR +6" swingarm and Cross-Country A-Arm kit would cost ... about $1800 not including new shocks :(

I think that'd really make it better for me to ride doing the suspension up like that, but that's $2000+ I'd much rather dump into the sled ....

I think I am gonna see if I can pay the principle down on this a little bit so I can sell it and just break even on it....

you should have bought a 700 raptor, like you said unless your small and weigh almost nothing the 450 will feel like a toy. knees bent beyond the 90 degree angle is probably whats making you most uncomfortable. on the raptor your knees are bent less than 90 so standing up and riding all day is way easier. you can support yourself more with your legs so your back doesn't have to get abused all day long. 250r's were great in the day but after riding banshees and raptors mine feels like its lacking some serious power:)

I raced against Banshees & Quadzillas, yes they had more power, but were inferior machines.
They were faster but on a terrain course, the 250R was King.

I still can't understand why Honda quit production of these machines at the time they did?
