question about registration

I bought a used Polaris 500 here in Washington,it was originally from Alaska....the person that I bought it from said that a snowmobile doesn't have to be registered in Alaska unless you take it into a national forest,so my question is what do I need to get in order to get it licensed here in Washington?

There is no title in alaska on sleds, there is a registration program. It works off a sticker system. The dmv just works off from a bill of sale and tracks vin numbers and sticker numbers. So when we register a sled we take a bill of sale to the dmv and they give you a sticker with a tag number.

His statment is not entirly true, The registration number is required to ride in state parks, not national parks. Its a state requirment not national. So I would hope for your sake that you should be able to get a washington registration off the bill of sale.
