I tried a shim behind the qd plate on the jackshaft to take up the space there before torquing the upper gear bolt... Looked good, but still just as hot. I wonder if all the 14's are that hot? Mine also sizzles the snow when I put some on top of it. Can barely touch it without burning flesh.
