Absolutely! Bottom pulley and belt all the way on...no need to bolt yet. Put zip ties around the belt just below where the top pullet will go...not tight, just enough to pull the 2 sides of the belt inward (toward one another) in a straight line with the top pulley held in place ...basically just to hold the belt in a shape that is as close as possible to how it looks when installed. Line up the splines visually (top shaft) and wiggle the top pulley on . Might need to angle it just slightly to get it started or bevel to splines as some have done in other posts. Once started it taps in easy with a plastic mallet. The cone tool might make it easier but this went pretty easy with not much effort. I don't have much "effort" left in me any more so always looking for the easiest way!:face-icon-small-win
 
I believe the #1 problem with this driveshaft/belt drive system is sloppy manufacturing tolerances. some are asking what should the belt tension be.....well it depends if you are on the high side or the low side of an out of round pulley??

When i jacked mine up and spun it with sled running the bottom pulley was noticeably out of round. This could be runout on the driveshaft stub end, runout on the pulley itself, or a combination of both.

IMO the only true fix for this is to install billet pulleys and a hex driveshaft which is machined and runs perfectly true. Otherwise there is no consistency in this drive system....some sleds may be ok, some may not

If your driveshaft stub end decides to begin separating from the driveshaft, it will more than likely manifest itself in a stripped belt due to the change in runout

Put 40 miles on yesterday never used the brakes just breaking in still. Belt and bottom pulley warm top pulley too hot to keep hand on brake rotor was not hot either Checked every few miles same every time.
 
I have found the same thing. I think it is the nature of the beast and has everything to do with the energy transfered through the smaller top sprocket.
 
I have heard that the brakes/pads/caliper are hanging up creating a ton of heat in the top rotor. Make sure to check that.
