How are the 13 Assault's with the 5.1 track doing and how would you compare them to the 13 Pro Rmk. What are the main differences, besides weight, shocks, and ski width? How are the Assaults in deep powder?

one i drove for a bit in a treed meadow with over the hood snow seemed to get on the snow really well, handled the bumps of crossing tracks very well. You can also drill a hole in the tunnel for the pro rmk mounting position for the skid.

I have a '12 with the 5.1, and have no complaints. I don't think many people went that route this year since the belt drive was only on the Pro. In retrospect, I imagine the Assault looks like a good choice now. Also, a big part of the weight difference is the comp track, so run the 5.1, and you're sitting a lot closer to the weight of the Pro.

Really, I don't have good intel for you since I haven't ridden a '13 Pro, but I will say that my '12 Assault is awesome, and if a guy can't make it dance, it's not the sled's fault.

Edit to add - Never had any problems with mine in the deep, and been in up to ~5' of fresh.
