FOX IQS VS FOX FLOAT 3 QS

This is for visualizing how much travel you're utilizing. It's a visual indicator of the travel used. Can also be used for sag setting purposes.
That's what I was thinking but wanted to make sure, thanks!

Okay,

Random question....... I just received a full set of the Fox Burandt Edition QS3 air shocks and three of the four shocks have a rubber o-ring on the shock sleeve. I assume this is for setting up the sag measurement?

I'm completely new to air shocks and this is the first time messing with a set........I'm use to springs and knobs.....LOL
Yup for setting sag. Also don't be suprised if the fall off. I installed mine brand new out the box last June after the season so it's been sitting covered in my garage. 2 of them already fell off. Dry rot I suspect.

Air used to be lighter, but with the latest versions of lightweight design on components and springs along with Evol chambers and negative springs on the air shocks I wouldn't be surprised if weight was now a wash.
Are the weights published by Fox? I can't find this info anywhere. I planned on going with air shocks mainly for the weight savings, but if they aren't any lighter, I'll stick with coils.

I think the coils are lighter by half a pound. I remember Burandt saying that in a video but could be wrong.

I’m still running the burandt fox qs3 coils.

Still happy with them.

They don’t get the resi locator pin wrecked by a small stick hitting it and ruin a complete shock like the velocity shocks.

I’ve run exits and raptors in the past and these seem on par.
Interesting…is this something you have witnessed yourself or is this something you’ve heard?
