Putting hood back on?

Position the back, line up tabs and air box. Put the two Tork screws in place and tighten go the front and push down should pop right in.

Thing is those torx bolt holes dont line up. Which is what has me stumped.

Just set the front of the hood where it goes, don't snap it into the holes yet.

Install the torx screws about halfway, them go to the front of the hood and pop it into place

After you put the hood back on...put earmuffs on any nearby children so can can cuss up a blue streak getting the stupid quarter turn things to work for the side panels.:face-icon-small-ton

This may sound stupid but your side panels are completely off,,,, right?
These hoods are sooooo easy to take off and put back on. Something is not adding up here. This can't possibly take more than a few minutes.

hold the hood with the noise pointing upwards. Position the tank end of the hood onto the torx mounts on the sled frame so that the hood lines up and sits flush on the mounts. Gently lower the noise end to position and line up the intake. set the hood down. start torx bolts. Make sure the instrument panel wire harness is on the correct side of crossmember for hook up. Snap nose into place. Verify intake is seated.Tighten torx bolts. Hook up harness. Go.

This is the one thing I hate about this sled. Side by side my friend was getting his pro together and me my dragon for winter and I couldn't stand the plastics. When I upgrade to a pro I'm goin to try adding rubber straps to the side panels instead of those flimsy fasteners. The hood is just as bad.

Pulled my hood off and installed a gauge riser, set the hood back on and lined up the holes in the back, snapped the front down and finished it up. Everything fit back together nice, did'nt even think to look at the air box could it possibly not line up and still fasten down?

I carefully extended the torx fastener slots a 1/8 inch or thereabouts makes it a whole bunch easier. And yeah the 1/4 turn fasteners suck.

rmk2112, 907assault, and thu man, thanks for the tip of snapping the front of the hood in last, makes it so much easier.

well i got it on, think the airbox is sealed properly, if someone wouldnt mind snapping a pic of it sealed properly so i can compare to mine thatd be awesome.

ill keep that nose in last tip in mind if i ever take it off again.
