Pump Gas Turbo recommendations

I hope I don't get too much hate for this.. But you COULD also consider a 2016 Arctic Cat M9000 (it is an 1100cc turbo engine from the factory)

So you'd have roughly 177-180 Horsepower right out of the box. Then you could buy an EVO tuner and bump it up to 210-220 I believe is the safe number before you really need to get into some engine work, or run higher octane fuel.

Its basically the same sled as the Viper.

I had an Apex I do not want another sled that heavy......go look at ready to ride weight on the 1100t.

The 15 Viper MTX has a better skid set up for a "lighter front end feel" and the engine is also laid back for a lower center of gravity.

I'm sure this helps drastically in the handling department..

However the 16 M will be using the same skid set-up as the 15 Viper, as well as a 36 inch front end and new spindles. On paper, It should handle better than previous years.

That being said, I went with the Viper myself.. I like dealing with Yamaha and I love that engine.

Either way you'll have a really nice sled. :face-icon-small-hap

Literature says 2016 M8 and MTX Yamaha will have a front skid shock spring 1.25 inches longer, not a big change but it is a "little" different than 2015.

The 15 Arctic Cat skid is not the same as the 15 Yamaha skid. Not 100 percent sure but I believe the 16 Arctic Cat will have the same geometry as the Yamaha. Which is a good change, apparently.

I have had both and would take the viper, they are not the same, dont actually know if they weigh drastically different but they feel like they do. and you get yamaha clutches and drive train. worth it !
my 1100 cost more in belts than fuel, including the trucks to get there

I finally got to try out my EVO turbo and ran on the 210hp pump gas setting for the weekend.

Two reasons to go EVO in the pic below (no that is not my hand in the pic)

That being said the girlfriends MPI 180hp turbo was pretty much install and ride, the dreaded GEMS control worked great.

Budget MPI wins and has Yamaha warranty, Performance EVO wins......at least in my book.

you may need some clutching

Really?? :face-icon-small-sho

That's news to me.

boost it just makes one kit, then you can change turbos for more or less boost.
they dont make a actuall pump gas kit but you can run there kit on pump gas.
they have found that sleds just run so much better with water to air,way more consintant day in day out.
i ran mine at 6-7 lbs boost last year on pump gas with no probs for a couple months,it was allot of fun to ride at that.

Yeah, I was talking to them. More of a 5000'+ set up. I'm just going to settle with a 190 kit. Probably Hurricane.
