Anyone have any advice, tips or tricks to do this?

Teflon tape on the puller threads, a spot of grease on the puller tip, SLP or other type of clutch holder tool. Instal the puller with as much pressure as possible, if the clutch doesn't pop use a heat gun to heat the hub the crank on the puller again. That usually does it for me, sometimes I have to let it sit, heat again and turn the puller again. You can do this a couple times as long as you gain a quarter turn or more each time. Patients is better than force in my opinion, but some will suggest impact gun or hammer blow to the end of the puller tool. I have never felt this was a good idea and always got mine off without having to do that.

There are some threads on here that talk about filling the clutch bolt hole with oil, water, or grease to create hydraulic force against the crank. Never done this but it sounds like it has good results. Once it pops, drop the face of the clutch down as far as possible then rotate to the rear while it is facing down. Be careful not to ding up the crank stub. Some fine Emory cloth on the clutch stub before you put it back is a good idea. Good luck. Way faster the second time. Lol. EW
