Pulled the Trigger and Ordered a new custom 2021 Truck today!!

MANDITORY for me to have the 6.5ft bed.
Otherwise I would have seriously considered it, even though that would mean waiting even longer as they haven't even announced what the 21 Raptor will be nor a release date.

Totally agree.

I'm currently shopping for F150's and 99% of the time I find one I like, it's a damn short bed.

I seriously don't understand the point of having a pickup with a 5.5 bed...what are you gonna haul - an end table?? lol

Yea it's only a foot longer, but it makes all the difference in the world when you're hauling a sled or motorcycle(anything more than an end table). 8' is cool, but with a crew cab....you're parking a damn land yaht. A double cab Tundra with an 8' bed was gonna be my next pickup but I'm just so damn tired of looking at them now since they've been the same pickup since 07 . The Ecoboost holds it's power at elevation too.

My son made the mistake of buying the 5.5 and HATES the damn thing as he quickly learned just how important that extra 12 inches really is.
LOVES his truck.
HATES the bed.

A Raptor with a 6.5 would have been nothing short of HEAVEN!
And the new raptor with the GT500 Engine, OH MY...........

A friend of mine use to say; "what's a quarter of an inch on an already long nose?".

Full size trucks aren't as common in our part of the world but I would have loved to have 8ft bed AND the largest cab available on the RAM 1500 I had a few years ago, (double cab w 6.5ft bed). I'm not sure I would have noticed much with another 2ft in total length. I admit I live where I can usually choose where to park, and as trucks are uncommon and store parking spaces are made for Corollas, I had to.

One of my friends can't fathom having a 8' bed on a crew cab truck because he's scared of not being able to park it anywhere. Gives me so much crap about my F450 and how big it is . Funny thing is with that wide track front end it has the same turning radius as my extended cab 6.5' bed F150! As long as there's space to back in those wide hips I can get it in the same places. Even though my F150 is a 6.5' bed, it's a step side so it's only about 48" wide for the whole length. I got really good at playing tetris cramming stuff in around sleds, quads, and bikes. Got that full 8' bed and there's so much room for activities!!! Even if I throw the cross-bed toolbox in the front. My 162 sled doesn't even hang past the tailgate without the toolbox.

With a EIGHT FOOT BED hauling a sled would be a JOY!!!!!!!!!

I have a saying of my own; "You can put small things in big boxes but not the other way around".
Around here it's mostly Wv Amaroks, Toyota Hiluxes, Ford Rangers etc, I don't know why they bothered fitting them with a bed.... All of them are a meter too short to be of any use...

We finally got my wife's custom ordered ultimate King Ranch Tremor 6.7 turbo diesel home. I hope this thing pulls half as good as a battery boosted eco boost.

Christopher, just curious, have you gotten a build date yet or anything? Still waiting on mine.

There is a gen14 forum that has some really good tracking info on all weekly delays. Right now my best guess is that my truck will go into production in February 1st if all the holds are finally lifted.
