Public increasingly concerned about deficit

Amazing, but it states it really isn't Obama's fault according to most polled and his approval ratings haven't been affected much....and most like his charming personality...bla bla ...and most of the public (according to this poll....who knows how credible that is) approves of a choice between public and private health care. Private insurance will be put out of business morons! ...and the cost of this public plan to taxpayers....cha ching cha ching....keep tacking on to that deficit! It did say this administration is still operating with bouquets from the public, but there are more thorns in them now. haha

A few things got "left" off that article.
Like the fact more people believe the republicans would be better on the economy than democrats, the fact people like Obama but don't trust him, the fact his health care reform's price tag makes people extremely worried.

Also, the supreme court nomonee numbers are a joke since most people know nothing about the lady.

Mountain-powder-slut...there is another article on MSN that states his approval rating is down 5%...just pointing out how the media can really sugar coat things.

I believe gas went up again yesterday, so this is the 50th straight day gas has gone up. 2 days ago it was on the front page that gas was up for the 48th day, yesterday it was buried on the last page the 49th, will see if there is anything today.

New York Times changes headline on their own poll
Rick Moran
It is not unusual for a newspaper to change a headline on a story from edition to edition. This is true especially if the story has been updated or changed to reflect additional information.

But this New York Times story on the poll they took regarding Obama's handling of the economy is remarkable for the change in headlines from just a few hours ago to now.

When I saw the story this morning on Memeorandum, the headline of a story about a New York Times poll read:

"In Poll, Obama seen as ineffective on the economy."

What does the headline read now?

"Obama poll sees doubt on budget and health care"

The adjective "ineffective" has been dropped as has the broader measurement "economy" in favor of the softer words "doubt" and "budget and health care respectively. The night headline editor probably caught hell for that first hed.

A not very subtle example of bias from the Times.

Look out, it's Jimmy Carter all over again.

Unfortunetly I think this could be WAY worse.
In so much as the policies Carter threw down could easily be repealed and a lot of them were.
With Obama it can't.
Once they pass universal health care, it's a done deal. It will be forever.
Once he gets his way on the financial industry regulatory czar, it is a done deal.
With his spending I think it will get real ugly starting by Jan of next year.
Gas is already starting to zip right back up.

However, yea.
I think the types of problems we saw with Carter are about to start all over again.
Gee I wish politicians could learn from their own mistakes, exspecially since a lot of the politicians in power were here during carter.

They're a "few" months late as usual.

Few months late, few months late? WTF???

We should have been worrying about this for a lot longer then that!!!

There was a documentary about this a while ago, it was really good, and shows that the problem has been going on for a while, democrat or republican, they have all failed us in this regard.

Though they are not to blame, we are. Our government was just spending money similar to how we were / are... by using credit.

Ready for this Ruffy?
Bush AND Cheney tried to put regulators in place years before the calapse because they did see it coming. Their efforts were blocked by the dems all 3 times (twice by Bush).

As for both parties being to blame, no arguement there.

We are talking about spending and deficits, not regulators, but you had to put it in anyways didn't you.

I meant in regards to all of this spending as of late. You are correct though, people should've been upset long before that. They should be REALLY upset now.

I agree, both parties have failed us, they are the same thing wrapped in a different color wrapping paper.

The sooner people realize that the sooner we can take OUR country back.
