ProRmk buying advice please

Ive pretty much decided to trade of my 10 hcr on a Pro.I'm just trying to figure out if I should trade it on a 2011 Pro 800Rmk with 840 miles a year warranty for $2500 to boot.Or brand new 2012 Pro 800Rmk for $3900 to boot.Anything better about the 12?Little short on $ ,but wondering if I'll regret buying used?Hoping some good advice. Thanks

I believe they have different injectors for the2012, also I believe there are some changes regarding the motor mounts?. I personally would go the route of the new 2012, then you know that the engine was broke in properly as well as run the oil you want. Either way you go your going to love the sled also you might get a little more money on the resale side of things??? Good luck!

I say just go for the new one. You're already questioning yourself with goin used, so if it would ever so much as hiccup, you'll be kicking yourself.

If u plan on keeping it several years, go new and know exactly what ya have!

You got to ask yourself if $1400 is worth losing 840 miles, gaining some suttle but benificial changes, gaining a year newer sled with a slightly better resale value down the road, getting a longer warranty, and not worrying about what that sled went through in the first 840 miles of it's life. To me, I would op for the new if I could swing the cash. Between the two options, your not gonna wake up in a month and go "Dang, I should have bought the used one".

go new. thats my feeling on most stuff, toys trucks/cars. if the difference was 5k, i would say go used but its not.

Thanks for all the input guys.Still on the fence though. That $1400 hundred dolars is another trip out west for me,but I really like the looks of the 12.Both have 1 year warranty too.Uhg!Decisions, decisions, decisions!Lol

be careful about the fence, by buddy does that alot, the costs add up, now he has trouble sitting on a chair!:face-icon-small-hap

Can you negotiate an extra year of warranty on the new sled or some accessories you want. Usually easier for a dealer to "throw something in" than take less money. I think he is giving you real good value on your trade. My vote is new just like all the rest but maybe you can get something else to sweeten the deal a little.

The used ones are just holding to much money this year due to Polaris not supplying the demand. With that said its a no brainer to go new. If this was a typical sled year for Polaris you would see more of a delta on the used but its not. Polaris knows they got the market by the balls and they have a killer sled. Next year Doo will have a whole new sled that can actually compete and you will see Polaris prices drop but not till then. Sorry Cat boys just dont see you getting into this game for while.:)

Here's my advice on the matter.
My buddy just bought 2 12 pro 163 off the showroom floor for $10,800 so subtract your $3900 and basically your getting $6900 trade on your sled.

You can buy a used one for your sled and $2500 making a 800 miles sled worth $9400.

Another friend just bought a used 11 pro 155 with 300 miles on it off the dealers floor for $9k with a remaining 1 year warranty.

Where do you live, and how many miles on your hcr?

1260 on Hcr.Thief River Falls area of Mn.$10900 for 12.He's $400 dollars less than local dealers.Yes $9500 on used one at different dealer. It sounds like I'd have to pay $250 for another year engine/drivetrain warranty.Really liked the Hcr ,but tried Pro last year and fell in love.

Dated two girls one time both were smoking hot, I liked one but she was just not the perfect fit. I loved the other one, even married her been happy ever since.
Unlike this story, for me anyways, if you ride the 12 PRO and do not like it you can always trade up in a year or two. My $0.02

sell your hcr your self. then buy the used pro ,i sold my 09 m1000 for 7500.00 plus some misc parts removed from it for
another 1000.00 got 11 pro for 9500.00 less than agrand out of pocket,11 runs great, not worried about durabilty on the 11.im just sayin:face-icon-small-ton

keep the cat

I've got the older style M as well and really liked the new Pro I demo'd last year but you're taking a huge hit on your sled and it should be trouble free for a few years yet. If you're only getting around 6900 for it that's crazy.
I'd give you 7000 for it and you can offer the used sled :face-icon-small-winguy a couple hundred less.
