Took me 10 mins to do it on behalf of everyone in my house hold ( 4 ) ... even got guys at work to coment against the action plan.

wow

too bad

no matter how good the effort we put forward...

Please keep it clean and civil guys, that's all we're asking

Thanks

It's good to see some guys getting active on this, we all need all the help we can get in order to save our sport from losing more so thanks for that:beer;

too bad the wmc qoute about us losing more if we did not play nice got deleted

i was going to use that crap on his sites

way to go 2112

True. One of many arguments, it came to pass somewhat. WMC and folks we have supporting our issues never pushed for Wilderness, we pushed for management of snowmobiles. Management does not mean to be shut out, it means evaluating and designating and thinking about snowmobile riding on the Forest. Sadly it seems that you guys get so worked up you cannot see any other view, and it is sort of self destructive. A million more letters from snowmobile riders opposing anything that limits snowmobiles...will be nothing new or significant.

Any high detailed maps out yet?

Anyone know of the general amount of changes that are made to a proposal after a commenting period is completed? Any precedence from other areas by chance?

yup

fixed it for you BOB

thanks scott and rmk2112

good talking to you both

Sorry everyone that I got frustrated with WMC not being able to engage in meaningful conversation about fair and equitable back country recreation.

WMC failure to at least answer very basic questions on snowmobile sites and also skier sites, that were asked in good faith over and over for the past two years can get one ( me ) agitated, lol.

It is sad that with all the attention wmc has yearned for his cause that he can not back up with facts any significant reasons to support his cause.

That is now what we are stuck with hearing from him. Same boilerplate over and over like a broken record that needs to be trashed

So I and everyone else will still be bombarded by the same repeated photos, same reposts, same one sided rhetoric from a very selfish very minority viewpoint.

It is not fair , right or just. none of it is.

Do not let Bob manipulate this any further than what he has already done to the forest service.

So please contact the forest service and let your opinion be known

thank you

I believe Dave from SAWS said he was requesting some better maps. Changes made will 100% depend on the level of involvement by snowmobilers and clubs WSSA, SAWS, etc. I would hope WSSA is getting involved in this. For people that wont do anything at least donate some money to WSSA or SAWS. As i stated in one of my earlier posts, where i live in Colorado we made significant changes in favor of snowmobilers to our recent forest plan. My suggestion would be for everyone to stop wasting their valuable time and energy arguing with an individual on this thread and start working with Clubs and FS for the good of snowmobilers in Washington.

If you can please suggest to us washington folks what worked and did not work for you guys!!!

I deeply regret my previous posts directed at the other side. I now realize we need to focus on our best goodwill efforts to effect change in our favor.

please everyone!! unlike me ..please take out your frustration on the neighbors red headed stepchild... not the forest service ...as i believe if we empower the forest service they can help us.

Thank you Mr Harris

I can tell you that it will take comments by individuals, Major involvement by WSSA and SAWS on behalf of the snowmobilers of Washington including meetings with the FS and possibly submitting of a Legthy appeal refuting all of the ridiculous flawed information being used by the FS. Contact these groups and ask them how you can help. give them a donation. I know Dave from SAWS has sent out 2 alerts on this already. I believe he is going to provide a lot more detailed information on this but he needs help from sledders.

Comments by individuals need to be specific to these areas that you ride that are being proposed for wilderness. Let them know why these areas are so important to you. These areas are unique, one of a kind riding areas that can not be found anywhere else. The FS flawed information regarding wilderness incursions needs to be refuted. More signage and education is the answer. We need to hold the FS to their mulitiple use mandate. Wilderness is not the answer, there is already 4.5 million acres in Washington.

The Blueribbon Coalition needs to be involved in this as well. They actually submitted an appeal Here in Colorado for our Forest plan (travel management plan) and i didnt even know they were working on it. support them too.

I sent an email and also requested specific feedback on the kind of evidence the FS will weight most heavily in their consideration process. Will post their response.

I want to get involved. This was my first year sledding and I LOVE IT! Could someone please make it easy or easy er to get involved? I tried the link that Newtrout posted and it didn't work for me. Where should I donate money to help keep lands open? I am a pretty good fund raiser and I would be willing to donate significant funds to keep riding areas open.
I have been involved in fighting for our 2nd Amendment rights for a long time. A huge problem has been that we were always playing defense. They had a long term plan to just chip away with "common sense gun laws" until we were completely disarmed. Finally, we went on the offensive and TOOK our rights back. Politicians are truly afraid of us and you won't see any new gun laws passed for quite a while. We need to use the same strategy here. We need to take back land that is closed to snowmobiling. If we take back some of the oppositions favorite places to ski/hike/camp they will think twice about taking us on. We have the money, the numbers and the intelligence to win this fight.
