New products I would like to see:

Removable skid Plate acting as a shovel / and plate to fasten under a sleds track to tow it.

Snowbunjie type device which also holds down a spare rack gas tank AND fits inside a shovel.

Detachable headlight so to use as a spot light / work light.

Seats that don't hold moisture.

Brake the locks up when you fall off like a teather. There was one out there but not sure were it went.

They shovel thing would be great so you wouldn't have to have it in your pack and if the sled was upside down it wouldn't be stuck in your seat.:beer;

Boss seats don't hold much moisture, if any.

Snobunje with a hook that has a spring loaded safety latch. I seem to lose the little rubbers.

Scratchers that lift when the sled is run in reverse. Tie them to the direction of the track or the suspension load in reverse.

GPS with 3D imaging and an accelerometer (like my Ipod touch) that will change from portrait to landscape just by rotating the unit.

A "Stolen" section for sleds, trucks and trailers on Snowest that victims can post in one spot and buyers can search.

An ebay type of feedback system for all snowest members.

A How-to section on SW with assigned moderators to review videos or instructions submitted for each manufacturer.

Sled videos that can be purchased online formatted for handheld devices like Ipods at a lower price.

Some kind of retractable ski break system that you can use coming down the steep and nasty in the spring. Belts on skis are ok if you make it to the top and can stop before coming back down.

I like the shovel idea, except when you get stuck up against a tree, you wouldn't be able to get it. Also it wouldn't help you much in case of an avelanche.

Your shovel should never be on your sled!! Unless you're not riding in the mountains and aveys are no worrie for you.

I agree but I'm guessing DB's talking about a secondary shovel instead of having to dig the good one out of your pack...we all know how well plastic shovels work on anything that's not powder:)

Good point, it would make a good secondary shovel. Plastic shovels are crap and if you're in to survival, a plastic shovel won't work very well as a fire pan.

How about a bottle of those "ACME Tornado Pills" like that Wile E Coyote has!

Whittaker, watch this vid http://www.retrax.net/video/video.html

now imagine if you took the stupid wheels off and added a good size paddle in place of the wheels

push button brakes!

might need a lightweight battery though, but should get quite a few cycles from one charge.

auctually now that I think about it more I bet the wheel would slow you down a lot, not like it's going to roll on the snow eh?

I have two, one on my sled and one with me. Luckily I haven't had to use the one in my pack...

How about breathalizers that are accurate?
When calibrated, they are very accurate. The fuel cells do change over time; if they're not calibrated at least yearly they will go out of cal, but only very slightly.... I work with these things daily, if you want to get real geeky to the why and how they work, let me know :)
