problems with cold seizures

Hey guys, I have a Terra alps 830 kit on my 04 rev. I have had 2 cold seizures this winter so far. It has a 3/16 restriction plug. Should I be using a thermostat? and which on if so?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Chris

Chris,
I'm going to assume you're not letting your sled warm enough. Let it idle for about five minutes and drive it easy for the first few miles. What type of piston's are in the sled? Running without a thermostat will cause the water in the cooling system to take longer to heat up due to constant circulation. Not a bad thing but 3/16th might be a bit too small.

Nothing to do but hold up on wicking up the throttle dude!
Let it warm up till the rear heat exchanger starts warming. Ride it easy and then crank on it when it's up to running temps.
T-Stat is not needed, just some restraint when starting it up when cold.
