I have a major dead spot in my 2010 600 and have had it in three times and the last time they told me that my spark plug caps were lose and that is what was causing it? I talked to a few other people who have had the same problems except no one has found a fix!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Darren

I've never heard of anyone else on here mention any dead spots on a 2010 600.

I have a 2010 600 switchback also and have the same issue. I have yet to find a fix, but I have a theory of the problem. Correct me if I am wrong, but along with the 800's, the 600's have 4 injectors. 2 for low rpm, and 2 for higher rpm. When the injectors switch from low to high, you get the hesitation or bog. What do you think? it seems like around 30mph it happens. what do you think?

That is what the service manager at mies outland here in Minnesota said that it is when it is switching over from two to four injectors. So he tells me last spring that they have a new ecu coming out that should help this and calls me two weeks later and says my sled is ready. When I ask about the new ecu he said that the problem was with the caps BS on that I have had problems here in Minnesota and was worse when I took it out west last spring. Mark the service manager also told me that he has been talking with polaris for a few years on this issue but have yet to resolve it.

Never heard of it on the 600's around here... Only issue has been two of them had the ring pin fall out and take out the piston. Other wise they seem to be working good?

People are usually pretty quick to criticise around here, so only 2 posts in 24 hours with this problem (95 thread views) on a 600 makes it sound like a rarity to me.

Like volcano buster asked....under what conditions are you having this problem? (warm/cold weather, warm/cold engine, rpm, altitude, slow trail riding, throttle pinned, etc)

Install a Power Commander or Boondocker box. Lean Mid range during part throttle transition/tip in. There are a few 600's out there with this from people I've talked to. Not just limited to 2010 either.

MORSNO, I don't happen to see any critisism here at all, although I dont think anyone can disagree there is alot of that around here. I would like to find out any insight to this problem just as much as Big D. Rarity or not, it still is a problem we'd all like to see solved.

I have a 600 also, so I am interested too. I just don't want to spend all kinds of cash on "swaptronics". Let's see if more guys chime in with an issue and solutions.

The criticism comment was made because people are quick to criticise a product on forums. You know the "what's the best..." threads.

I have had everything gone over and pulled it out the other day and riped down a field and same old thing it is going back to the dealer and I am going to tell them I don't want it back unless it runs!!! I have had plenty of 600 before this one that ran great. I also thought that maybe I got a bad one till i started talking with some people at haydays and discovered there are quite a few people with this problem. I am ready to put carbs on the damn thing at least then they ran right!!! I sure hope my new 800 runs or it might be the end of the polaris era for me!!!Any help really appreciated since I dought the dealership will find a fix!!!

I am going with install the PCV ... i have felt it on my 600...

Going to be installing one this year it see if it helps...

Next we need to get a thread going with the maps people are running and running GOOD!!

I'd say screw the cfi crap and install carbs on it, but that's just me.
