Pro RMK vs Summit?

I find the summit xm more comfortable then my pro...I am 6'4" and the summit I find you need to be 6-8" farther back on the running board which is more comfortable to me. you have to move around more on a summit then just pushing forward on the bars or leaning back on your leg like you do on a pro but I'm leaning to the xm next year.
I found it the opposite. I have to be way up jammed in the stirrups to ride an Xm , so much that my toes hurt after an easy day on it.

I find myself 8" back on my pro and much easier on my body. I am 5 '11.

I'll try not bash one or the other. I have ridden Doo for 14 years or so, Started on a 1999 670 Summit X, 136" track, old style sled. I had 5000 miles on it when I sold it about 3 years ago I never did anything to it nor did the guy before me 1200 miles when I got it.
I ride a 2004 Rev Summit X 800 144". My friends all ride newer Pro's two on 2012 800's and sister-n-law on a 2013 RMK 600. They have always been on Poo's, and they have always done more wrenching, pistons, crank replacement twice, this is on 2003 RMK's 800's, then they upgraded to the Pro's. One friend put the "piston kit" spacer and piston's in his 800 he only has like 1700 miles.

I have been looking for a Pro or RMK see a lot of them on Craigslist, but also notice many have had new motors "Warranty" replacement. Or work done. Maybe it's just Poo has more sleds out there or you hear more "stories" not sure I know Doo isn't without problems.

I really think both the Poo and Doo mountains sleds are very good whichever you pick. Each person going to fit one better than the other. For me I would choose the Ski Doo, just my .02.

Sounds like they are all pretty close! I own doo and poo. Both doo and poo need Pistons and rings. Neither is any better in that department. The poo have crank issues. Doo has crankseal issues then end in the way. Haha. Not good.
Sounds like both are very close.

I have them both (13 pro and 15 T3 163) and really enjoy riding them both. The tmotion is different and some days I like it and some days I feel like I am fighting the sled too much. I revalved shocks on pro, put on a 36" front end and a gear down kit and now I really love riding my sled.

I came off a doo, gave it to my dad this past fall and bought a PRO. Only have 130 miles or so on the PRO and at first didn't notice a huge difference in handling. But climbed back on the doo while my pops was trying out my new sled and I absolutely hated it. Couldn't believe the difference in handling and balance. Like most guys have already said its all personal preference, but I could never go back now.

Post this question in a doo forum and you'll get totally different answers.

To be perfectly honest my last 3 sleds have been pro rmk's and I would recommend the XM over the pro for beginner and intermediate riders. It's just way easier to ride. When it comes to sidehilling the super steep and deep the pro is king.

I've got both in the family stable, wife and 13 yr old ride 14 summit 600's, 17 yr old and myself ride pro's. I've had plenty of time back and forth and don't find either one leaps above the other, for me and the older son the Doo's feel almost wobbly as in imprecise when dancing through the trees whereas the Pro's handling feels much sharper. I have found that any inexperienced riders that come with us always prefer the Doo's, always hear they're easier to handle for whatever that's worth
