PRO RMK vs REV

How big of an upgrade is a 2011+ Pro RMK over a 06 summit? What is better? Harder to get stuck/easier to get unstuck from what I see..? I ride in Colorado mtns not on trails much.

Funny you should ask... Rode the ole 06 REV back to back last season with a 13 pro... No comparison in it's deep snow ability...ease of riding and the amount of fatigue I had doing the same things on the REV at the end of the day.

The REV had a bunch of lightweight parts, great shock, strong motor and great shocks.

BIG difference in weight... The PRO just doesn't get stuck as much.

In the end... I have more fun on the PRO-RMK.

I still had a mod rev summit in the stable when I jumped on the pro RMK wagon in fall 2010 - everything was easier on the pro, way better snowability, just eats up rutted sidehills like nothing else, lighter, less fatigue, ride more, have more fun. The poo clutching efficiency and strong midrange helped make up for a drop in WFO hp (rev was ported, cut, and piped), but that's stock to mod. No regrets, have bought two more poos since. Still have XPs, too, rev is gone.

Rev is a better trail sled, if that tells you anything... Good luck.

^^^^ exactly.

Except i got rid of the xp. :)

If you like the rev it may be a big adjustment to get comfortable on the pro. The self leveling effect of the rev will have you pulling the pro over on it's side every time you go to ride one ski. You might try riding with one hand;) I rode the 11 pro once and new I'd never want to ride my highly modded M8 ever again...

like others have said there really is no denying the newer sled technology
rev was a good sled ahead of its time in 2003.5 06 was the most solid year
but....

EVERYTHING ! and i mean everything
is easier on the new sleds ( minus you wallet )
if you like trees then get the pro get one with low miles or warranty
they all have their week points for sure
also consider who and where the dealer is for parts and service
good luck

I liked my 07 rev...went to a 2011 pro and liked it a whole lot more. It did take a couple rides to get used to tho. night/day on deep snow performance and lack of stuck and ease of unstuck IMO

Had both, went from a 07 rev to a 09 xp then to a 14 assault. Love the assault way more then the doo. Only rode it a handful of times last year but easier on the joints at the end of the day.
