Pro RMK 2012 Mountain Sled of the Year

I have to lol that they gave the "Sled of the Year" to the XF 1100 Turbo...the sled is over 500 pounds. Granted it has a lot of power but it just seems like a mind boggling weight difference to me.

Like I said on the other thread on this - The Polaris RMK is an AWESOME sled... but they didn't even compare it to the M800 Cat, they compared it to the TURBO HCR. I am not saying the result would have been any different but at least compare the 800s. I guess they just took the top-of-the-line mountain sleds from each company and left out the Cat 800... Wonder if Cat had any 800s at snow shoot??

Its hard to say..you would think they would have access to all the sleds..so who knows...I honestly dont think there will be an honest answer to this "whos sled is best" ever, its all about what suits your riding style and feel...and really..who wants everyone riding the same sled? that would be boring..especially if it didnt fit your ridingstyle/feel...but ....just so you know...my pro beats your pro.....

wonder how much they got paid to pick the pro?
polaris paid me alot...a great sled, handles sweet, climbs like a mule, reliable, cool clutches, and most of all....a permagrin...priceless...
whats doo done for you? hot clutches?, bent nuns?greased engine bearings? oh..and doesnt sidehill very good unless you are flawless on your technique, or weight 250 pds.....oh and they cost a couple grand more as well...

Van, I have absolutely nothing against doos(in fact my roommate has 2 xp's), or cats or yammys, what I do have is a problem with the doo-cat-poo guys who are so anti anything else all they can do day after day is sit on the forums all season ripping on the other brands.. I have gone up against a 11 etec..and all riders that day in that snow agreed..on that day in that snow the pro was the better sled(3+ pow climbing, carving), have done the same with a 10 cat(pretty much same sled as an11 cat)...I like them all , they all have their place and style..which is what its all about..finding the sled that best suits your style...but to say 1 sled dominates all others in all things..day after day..year after year...give us all a break...either put up irrefutable proof.. or stop already.....

says the 3 newbs in the video.

Even my '07 800R will lay WASTE to your XP snowmobiler. Why don't you come out to Adams tomorrow and you can put your sled where your mouth's been this whole season; I'll bring both my Pro and my '07 Rev! We'll see who goes home with bragging rights. Snow King parking lot at 9am. Red Pro and 086 race plates on a white Rev Summit. I'll even let you ride them both and you'll be wondering how soon you can dump your XP. ;-)

Have FUN!

the etec power scared them

Not at all. It's the chitty Doo chassis with it's exceptionally poor handling characteristics. Put that ETEC into a decent chassis and you've got a sled to contend with. Leave it in the XP, and only the blind loyal dummies will continue to buy it. Lucky for BRP, there's lot's of those people around including you, snowmobiler.
