pro resale

Rally Motorsports, is the largest volume snowmobile dealer for Polaris in the world. They were given that award last year at the convention in Las Vegas. I work within the owners auto group. The owner gambled big for this year , it's not a hoax. He ordered 650 Polaris sleds for this season( non currents mixed in with that number) and he acquired arctic cat in July of 2014 from Riverside auto group. He bought 300 cat sleds as we'll for this season. The picture below was taken in the holding compound in Aug 2014 as the inventory started to roll in. This was about half of what showed up for the Polaris inventory.

They are having a big blowout sale first two weeks of February 14 pro's for $8990 CAD it's a crazy deal! I jumped and bought one. Even if I sit on it for next season( because snow conditions suck out here) I don't care
If your post is correct it says 2014s. Sandman your CL link is for a 2015...

14 holdover

That's a rip off for a left over 14. Fun country Polaris in the Dalles OR is selling that same sled in a 163 for $8999. There is at least 1 dealer in ID selling for close to the same. No need to over pay :face-icon-small-win
Me thinks as Spring gets closer the prices go even lower.

$9,29900

So lets do some math here sleds on sale in Canada for $8990 which is roughly $7166 usd , so a dealer here in the us selling the same sled for $9450 http://portland.craigslist.org/grg/snd/4846928909.html is only making a few hundred dollars profit??? http://www.x-rates.com/calculator/?from=CAD&to=USD&amount=8990

Polaris has a gross margin of ~ 30% on Snowmobiles(easy to find in their financial reports.) So they make ~30% selling it to the dealer, the dealer then turns around and tries to sell it for another ~20% increase because Polaris isn't going to let the dealer make more money off of it than they do.

MSRP:$12,499 - 20% = ~$9800 = $2700 'profit'
Polaris: $9800 - 30% = ~$6860 = $2940 profit

These numbers should be pretty close, so unless Polaris is kicking in rebates and such the dealer selling it for $9450 is more likely losing $$ than making $$ on that sale.

- Very high prices and dealer markup for replacement/repair parts
- $100/hr ++ shop rates
- $10/hr goons doing the work at that rate, with horrible to non-existent product knowledge, diagnostic skills, and speed.
- Complex vehicles with many more systems to fail, and higher chances of incorrect diagnosis/wasted time/money.
I thought I was the only one that noticed this.
