This is a canadian dealer. I know they had 700 units and still have 500. No snow, lots of units, a 15 day sale and a new model coming out. But still, royaly screws me selling my 2014.

That's a lot of inventory for a toy store. Do you know how many quads or SxS's they move?

no idea but they are suppose to be the largest polaris dealer in canada. they took on cat as well now, not sure if those 700 units were half cats or not.

What do dealer prep fees typically run?

It depends on the dealer - highest I've seen was $395 for freight and $139.50 dealer prep for a total of $534.50. ( I think that was the dealer above advertising the sled at $9,394) I've seen several at $179.50 and no freight.

My dealer doesn't charge any because he thinks (like me) that it's just big game. I hate the game. What I want is the price before tax out the door. That's the only way to compare apples to apples.

Wow, that comes to 7227 Us dollars... 2014 holdover I assume? Might be worth a trip to Canada with a semi truck...

Im calling BS on the sask dealer sorry. What dealer 12hrs from the mountains would have 700 units...I have seen no advertised price for sleds that cheap.

not all mountain sleds. they were blowing out 600 switchback assaults a month ago at the same price. They are apparently the biggest polaris dealer in canada and have cat now. but i really should say i dont really care what you think, thats the deal

Makes me laugh all the times dealers have been on here saying they only make a few hundred dollars on the sale of a sled. They must all be going out of business right now. Guess that will bring the resale of sleds to a all time high:)

I don't think this changes the amount of profit a dealer makes, Polaris makes more per sled than the dealer by far. But when Polaris rebates them and the dealer is sitting on a lot of them the dealer puts their margin in too.

I was at my dealer today and was shocked at the prices on the new sleds. I'm really worried about my trade this spring.

Actually the dealers are only able to offer these low prices because Polaris is offering incredible rebates. These prices are well below dealercost, but since Polaris is offering the rebates and additional warranty they are able to lower the prices and offer the warranty.

Rally Motorsports, is the largest volume snowmobile dealer for Polaris in the world. They were given that award last year at the convention in Las Vegas. I work within the owners auto group. The owner gambled big for this year , it's not a hoax. He ordered 650 Polaris sleds for this season( non currents mixed in with that number) and he acquired arctic cat in July of 2014 from Riverside auto group. He bought 300 cat sleds as we'll for this season. The picture below was taken in the holding compound in Aug 2014 as the inventory started to roll in. This was about half of what showed up for the Polaris inventory.

They are having a big blowout sale first two weeks of February 14 pro's for $8990 CAD it's a crazy deal! I jumped and bought one. Even if I sit on it for next season( because snow conditions suck out here) I don't care

So lets do some math here sleds on sale in Canada for $8990 which is roughly $7166 usd , so a dealer here in the us selling the same sled for $9450 http://portland.craigslist.org/grg/snd/4846928909.html is only making a few hundred dollars profit??? Come on now you guys can't be that gullible!!! Also I'm sure there are still dealers who are still close to resale in price, does Poo have a sliding scale on how much rebate you get depending on the price the sled is sold for?http://www.x-rates.com/calculator/?from=CAD&to=USD&amount=8990
