Has anyone run a different clutch on there apex besides the stock one

like a comet or anything else?

i would stick to the yamaha clutch. will last alot longer than any comet. i would suggest getting the 911 response kit from hi-tech.

HAMMER runs a P85 poo clutch on his SC apex, retapered to fit of course but not sure why exactly.

I've asked the same question several times. Dustin with Outlaw, Boondockers, BigSkyx, Shockwave, and many others told me they have stuck with the stock Yamaha primary and secondary. Only changing out the spring, weights, and helix. The new info i have is that SkiDoo's new clutching setup(2009) is almost identical to that of the Yamaha. They must be doing something right!
