price of diesel

Yep same here in MN just finished up fall field work fuel bill for the month of October was $9000 more for then October of the previous year. Have a diesel pickup for sale if anyone is looking :face-icon-small-ton

filled the old 4020 JD, with #1 was sucking fumes, $155.00, hopefully snow stays in the mountains, dont want to have to blow very much of it thisyear. Last 2 winters were terrible for moving snow.

Gas is 3.35 and number 2 is 4.24 The price of gas has been dropping by nickels but the price of diesel has been rising by dimes..

not even worth the added 6 mpg more i get

$4.20 here today. I was paying $1 less a year ago. I pay about $500 a month just in fuel to drive to and from work.

i am a fuel guy and the refiners are claiming shortage on dsl they do this same crp every year at this time so hold tight and the price will fall when they think they have supply back up
it suck i have to buy it to

Here in Fargo ND where the trucks fill up out of the pipeline the trucks are backed up everyday, saying there is a fuel shortage due to the bakken-shale drilling and harvest. The line gets crazy long most days during the week to fill the trucks up.

I think they are trying to figure out what we will pay for fuel and not stop driving. And harvest has been done for a few weeks now. Maybe they are just trying to get caught up. Sucks when I have lots of trips planned out west and the cost of fuel is the most expensive part of the trip.

Parked the 1 ton diesel, driving my 1/2 ton gas, I won't have to drive it until its time to pull a bigger load. I figure with the miles I keep off the diesel I will get another 2 years out of it before trading.

Here in Duluth its 4.24. Last week i was down in West Texas (Lubbock) for work and it was 3.44! I was almost blown away...

King is right the Yellowstone break and demand for fuel has made it a monopoly. Mandan and glendive are making bank. Since the break they have to truck fuel from Billings to glendive and sometimes that's not enough so its a wait for fuel. Wanna know what's sick on my drilling rig we burn 2500 gallons a day. Times the 200 rigs drilling just in north Dakota is 500,000 gallons a day if everyone is going at one time. That's why when my company man asks me if I want fuel I take about 200 gallons home.

Guys I know it's upsetting but this too will pass. There's no conspiracy. Maintenance outages are routine and the refineries typically communicate when they will be taking them to prevent undue shortages in supply. The harvest consumes lots of diesel and up North here the drilling season is starting, which means that lots of diesel is being sucked out of the bulk market.

That's the demand side issue. In Canada the supply side is taking a huge hit too. The explosion In Regina, SK is part of the problem and won't be rectified until well into the new year. A month or so ago there was a malfunction at another refinery near Edmonton, AB which left them unable to desulphurize diesel. Yes, Cardlocks have been running dry. When there's a shortage like that, we're all gonna pay.

Read today the tesoro refinery in mandan will increase diesel production 5,000 barrels per day to 22,000 barrels. Hopefully this will help to stabalize the prices.
