currently 4.15 gal for #2, couple weeks ago #1 was 4.55, where will it top out at dont know how much more a working man can afford.

I don't know if it is affecting most of the country, but here in Regina SK there was an explosion at the co-op oil refinery, that has caused the supply of bulk diesel to come into question. Our Refinery was a big supplier of diesel fuel. The refinery processes 100,000 barrels of crude oil in a day.

To put in perspective of fireball here's a picture of a close up of some of the stacks, which the fireball went above.

Holy shiiii man! ^^^ I can imagine that would affect what you guys are paying up there, but the overall situation is a bit confusing. For every $0.01 gas goes down, Diesel goes up $0.02?!? I'm lucky I work jobs every now and then that pay mileage, or some weeks I'd be up **** creek without a paddle.

Yes, and the picture i show the stack height, are the short stacks. The other stacks are at least another couple stories higher as you can tell in the video. I know from that fireball it has affected our ability to get diesel fuel for the farm here. And if we can't get diesel, we will have no way to feed our cattle. :faint:

We have a shortage here in BC. At the local card lock if you don't hit it at the right time, you're out of luck. The tanks have been going dry.

My last tank was 4.61 here on Maui at the shell station. Everywhere else on island its 4.95/gal. I can't wait to leave.....

"LEAVE" have you lost your mind!? Travel to the snow and ride for your fix...LIVE THERE! I'd trade my ride everyday, no real job, snowmobile BS life, for a good living in paradise ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!

Here in ND there blaming it on the oil boom in the western part of the state, and some on the fall harvest and falls field work, which a lot of it got done. Fuel delivery man told me that the pipeline that broke under the yellowstone river and the planned shutdowns of the area refinerys for repairs had a lot to do with fuel shortages, he said it has been a crap shoot as to where and when he could get in tanker loads this fall.

I'm ready to sell my Dodge diesel and buy a gasser. These price differences are a conspriacy against better fuel mileage of the modern diesel engine by oil companies!!

shot up like $.20 this week all of a sudden after holding solid at about 3.90 all fall..

seriously, WTF??

cant barely afford to drive around anymore, yeah, i would love to drive car and get 10000mpg.. oh yeah, but then i have no reason to drive around as i cant get anything done.

there has been 2 planned outages just happen at the cenex refinery in laurel mt, not sure if it had any affect on anything but i worked the last outage on their crude unit #1 but should be going now as all they had to do was re hy-torque the exchangers

I think the reason fuel is so vollital right now is because of the devaluation of the american dollar. The stock market sucks so big money are putting their cash into oil futures. There is a better return on investment than the stock market and it is all manipulated by the big oil companys. My fuel bill was about 5k more than last year and im in the farm and ranch industry.

Exxon has been making record and near record profits for the last 4 years. I'm all for a company making a profit but when Exxon has been averaging almost $40 BILLON a year, that's just sticking it to the consumer.

im not sure but i heard that the refinerys dont turn a crazy profit but its the tax that raises the price? not too sure on that but refineries produce a lot more things than just diesel

4.19 for diesel here, gas just dropped to 3.19 so a buck difference. The fact that I only get 2 mpg better than a gasser towing makes it hardly justifyable. What a joke!
