Power to Weight Ratio: Four Stoke vs. Two Stroke

I have asked MPI for some of their Dyno results from all the testing they did this year. Hopefully they can share some of their testing results for Aspirated and Boosted sleds.

I'm trying to find the graph but I can tell you that @6psi it holds 100 ft/lbs of torque from 5000-8800 RPM. The stock sled made about 72-73ish it too was a flat line.

Speaking with NO real firsthand knowlege here.

Are there any legitimate mass produced 2S Turbo kits for $2,500 on the market??

The MPI Turbo option on Snowchecked Vipers is an absolute STEAL in the industry.

They HAVE TO make these kits available dirt cheap.........other wise nobody in their right mind would buy an MTX.

So explain to me why you allow for a turbo to be added to one sled and not the other? You can turbo up a Pro just as easily as you can turbo up a Viper. Comparing a turbo sled to a non turbo sled and claiming apples to apples is disengenuous at best...

I think what needs to be done, if this comparison is to be at all valid, is to use a turbo 2s when comparing to a turbo 4s. Of course that would ruin your power to wieght argument wouldn't it?

because you will never see a 2s turbo from factory & there is already a couple 4s turbo from factory.:face-icon-small-win

You can spin the power to weight argument any way you want it.......1000Lbs sled with 350hp has a good power to weight ratio........Im sure it would be a great seller.:frusty:

Yep here we go Christopher, have you sold your Nytro yet?

Where is the 610 weight coming from? I thought Yamaha and snowest weighed a 153 Viper MPI turbo this spring at it was 641 lbs ?

This might have already been said (I didn't read the whole thread).. but when I figure power to weight I add my weight and gear into the mix. Adding another 200 pounds makes a lot more difference to a 120hp sled than it does to a 200hp sled.
Even with that I prefer a 2-stroke in sleds... and a 4-stroke in dirt bikes.
