Power Comander or Head

P
I was wanting to get a little more power out of my 09 D8 and better throttle response. The question is to do the chip or a head and if so what head? I ride 4000ft and above.

Thanks in advance Sean

get the power commander 5 its worth it better everything, i have yet to try out my bmp head i just bought so no comment on that other than it looks SICK!!!!! lol

I was looking at the fastrax head from Kurt. I know a few guys who highly recommended it. But i feel as though the chip will work out bugs at the same time where the head might give me more trouble.

I am using the SLP high elevation head and the PC5. I have noticed that I need to watch my fuel with the head as if it is a warm day I need octane boost in the premium fuel or I will get detenation bad and the guage light starts blinking. Forgot the octane boost one warm day and it did it bad. Got back by the trailer and put octane boost in and no more problem. I had a 2nd program set up in the PV5 for a richer mid range but it made no difference on the detenation. It does help performance tho...

Both! But you will probably want the autotune so that you can dial in the ideal O2 ratio. If you do the right head you will see some strong gains. But depending on what Polaris map you have, you might have detonation issues. I had to go back to the original stock Polaris map to get the less sensitive deto sensor.
