power claw vs. challenger extreme

I have not tried the PC track yet, same boat as 80 or 90% of us. I do have considerable time on both the Cat Challenger and the Extreme. Not even close to being comparable. And everyone says the Extreme trenchs bad.....I don't get where people are finding this? When I went to the 150x16x2.5 Extreme over the 151x15x2 Challenger I noticed the floatation was improved tenfold. Instead of digging a trench I was floating over the snow without much effort.
Side by side against the old mans Cutler 1000 M-Series(153 Challenger) my trench is minimal while climbing a hill. Now the grunt of his sled overpowers mine and it still climbs higher but it doesn't trench like everyone is saying....that is, unless your powering out and digging in.....but they all end up digging deep when your about to get stuck.

Ive got both. a 2.5-162 chall extreme on a BB m7 and a powerc on a 09 m1000. The chall-extreme hooks up way better and has stiffer rubber. Ive had the extreme for a 1 yr on the m7 and put 700 miles on it and it is still stiffer than the PC. Will prob put a chall extreme on my new m1000...........

i switch from a polaris 163 2.4 this track sucks trenches really bad, i put on a 174 exstreme way better it only left about 1/2-1ft trench i cant say much for the powder claw it could be a good track but the challenger exstremes are tried and true and perform awsome but what ever you do, do not run the polaris track iam sure i will catch hell for saying that but i have seen the difference personaly and the exstreme will will put the polaris track to shame

yes one of our buddy's said that plus ive rode one Maybe they suck on a doo but just trying to help out? and yes they are garbage going down hill, ive even asked curtis from track's canada and he said that as well, i say the camo extreme... great track

I would say the Maverick sucks, the Polaris Series 5.1 I put on this year is worlds better than the Maverick. Now, maybe, just maybe, there's more to gain going to a CE, but at this point the 5.1 does impressively well on my Nytro.

well guys i bought the PC. the dealer had it in stock so it just seemed easier and i'm sure it'll be better than the maverick. now i was just wondering if everyone's running them backwards or the right way?

i'll be switching out my 09 pow cl for the extreme prob in a couple of weeks.rode the pow cl in revy for 3 days a week 1/2 ago.it hooks up on the hard pac,climbs in the pow but sucks in the brake dept.and with the kitty being turboed brakes r not an option,it's a must.had the extreme on my apex,loved it.half price pow cl for sale in a couple weeks.:beer;

Here's my 2 cents. I think that a 16 wide challenger extreme is probably a better track, but if you can't fit a 16" wide track in your tunnel, like me, then a powerclaw will climb a little better and not trench as bad. As for the downhill, it is faster than an extreme, but the extreme trenches like a finger track in deep powder if its only 15" wide.

3" 174 camo extreme!

I was looking at the WPS website and they show a 162 and a 174 16 wide 3" paddle. For 13 and 16 hundred dollars I will have to wait a little bit. Sounds good though! -00's
