Pour camoplast warranty judgment

thanks for all the input guys. Mine has the 2.5-inch lug.
The way it sounds is that there are good batches of tracks and bad ones. I have seen these 174 put through hell in revy and not miss any lugs.
But now u have all given me some ideas and will be trying that for getting a new track, which includes getting a good camera and lighting.

The track clips don't just fall off. Saw that issue a couple of times last season. In both cases the rail tip caps were the problem. One of the tracks was too loose and the caps had worn down enough that the clips were getting popped off by the front edge of the rails as the track flexed. Clips are easy enough to replace but you have to check to see why they start coming off and fix the cause as well as the result or it will just happen again.

My track is a 174x16x2.5, the track does not hit the tips of the rails because of the 4 wheel anti-stab and shallow aproach.

I also know how to adjust a track, its a falling apart pile of crap that completely delaminated and throws clips.

I'm guessing when a clip is smashed around rubber, kevlar, rubber and the rubber right next to it, is launched off the track pulling one side of rubber out from under the clip that its going to get loose and fall off.

The first 2 paddles that ripped off did so in less than 100 miles, the other damage took the remaining 300 miles.

I think they had a bad batch of tracks and just want those who got them to eat'em.

I'm glad some of you haven't had any trouble, but mine was a defective track
with no warranty because of the sled I'm running it on. Or atleast thats how they got out of replacing my track.

I only rode in deep snow last year, no trails to our riding areas, just unload and straight into the deep snow. I went through the same thing, only 2 months last year and my 162x16x2.5 was missing lugs all over, worst spot had lugs missing for 1 foot or so. That made it really hard to ride, I could feel it peel out when that spot came around and it wobbled bad. I ordered a new one and sent camoplast pictures. They told me to send it to tracks USA. It cost me 200 for shipping to get it orginally, and 200 to send it back, so there is 400 in shipping alone. It took all summer and a lot of phone calls but tracks usa finally refunded me 500 of the 650 I paid for the track. My new track is holding up much better, I think they had a bad batch last year.

Tracks shoud be designed to take a beating and not fall apart LIKE that. Once again they should warranty it. Keep us posted on results and best of luck to you.

40+ missing lugs......ssiiiiiiiicccccckkkkkkkkk

yep thats about 2000 miles with a good running turbo on a mav. they sure spin nice tho. would be the same reason I cant bring myself to chunck out the money for the extreme, junk in a good year of rideing. julio

I was reading somewhere that they were having this issue with the camo extreme. They're probably going broke on their warrenties, and having to tighten up a bit.

I'm sure I was reading it on SW. this Fall. I was under the impression that a lot of people had this happen.

Has anybody asked Camoplast if there tracks are even rated for the type of track speeds that the turbos produce? If I turn up the tuner on my diesel I know that the tranny and rear end wont hold it. I know that the 2.4" Polaris track that came on the RMK900's said no warranty if ridden over 70mph.
