Post Your Spring/Summer Builds.

Then why are you upgrading turbos? :D I'm pretty sure I could take you with jetting alone, the nitrous is for fun.

Good God, How much would it cost to ride it for 5 minutes? I'll start saving now.

I'm pretty sure could blow it up in less than 5 minutes with 100 hp worth of nitrous ! :D:beer;:D

Not a sled, but just as sexy....

So here's a shot of some upgrades I'm doing to the sloop this year, Hardlines for almost all plumbing, a manual water control valve for the headers, and slip in silencers cuz' all day with open headers is fun, but all weekend ain't.

1977 Hawaiian 460 Ford, Offenhauser Tunnel to a single Demon 850, Jacuzzi YJ. MSD Ignition.

I also have a 1976 Barracuda Flat Bottom V-drive with a 454 "Roller", to be reassembled after a 7 year hiatus.

I like it "Hot, wet, and loud" :D

The images are in "in progress" shots taken deep inside the lab in my bunker.

P.S. Like the engine dollies...?

nojoke - that thing looks sick as ****....

Thanks man.....its definitely been a blast to build the motor in this car, learned alot. Specifically you can pull and motor and build it while being on crutches.....thank god for good friends.

Motor is working good compression checked at out 165 on all 8 cyl's after 500 miles. Poorin the boost to it now, 24psi on 116 Octane with low timing is pretty rowdy. I just have to come up on the timing now about 7-9 degrees which is leaving about 70-80whp on the table. Motor should make close to 730-740 uncorrected at the wheels, high 600's low 700's SAE. My old combo lower boost, smaller blower made 681 uncorrected. The air up here is killer vs FL summer air.

Gonna try and get it out next month to the track. I have my knee surgery/scope this friday to remove all my hardware from my wreck at turny back in december which I broke my femur.......that is gonna put me down for a couple of weeks. Then im torn between the car and beatin myself up rehabbin the leg everyday so I can ride decently next year, lost alot of muscle in that leg. Crutches for 5 months...F that ever again.

Yes those are my cylinders in grocery bags :( I started tearing down the sled for powder coating and found a broken motor mount. Decided to pull the engine to check all four mounts and found another broken one. Decided to look in the exhaust ports since I had the engine out and found a crack in the transfer port and some scuffing on the piston/cylinder.

A little powder coating has turned into a new top end and some motor mounts...atleast I'm doing it in the shop and not on the hill

And I still need to remove the front and rear suspension.

Anyone else have progress pics?

Someone's gotta leave the flats on occasion...we know yamis won't do it.

A little summer maintenance is a low price to pay to roost turbo 4 strokes while going over the top :D
