HELP!! i put this handlebar riser on and it seems really weak because i can get that much more leverage on my bars it feels like my steering post is gonna bend!! its not a good feeling.. how do i renforce it? i notice theres a couple other guys on here with kinda the same thing but they dont look re-enforced... thanks bros. *** by the way the reeds and airbox help alot with balancing the carbs way better bottom and midrange with almost no "loading up" ****

I drove a piece of Chro-moly tube down min steering shaft, that stiffened it up pretty good. I have run solid stock before, but the Chro-moly tube seems to be stiffer and is definitely lighter. Cost around $15 to do two sleds.

This was a very good sled. The only original part was the steering hoop, steering post and the heat exchangers. It has been SLP twin piped and SLP single piped with BOSS NOS, Fabcraft trailing arms and drop and roll kit w/extended chaincase. 3.0 Avids w/159 camo extreme 2.5, Holtz front and rear suspension. I can't even remember it all.

How'd you do that?

Well this is what it did look like this morning.

I just sewed it loose put glue down then slowly tightened the sewing up till I pulled it all together then put some glue on top of the stitch.:D I was proud of my self which is sad cause was proud of my sewing :o
 
Hey heres an update on my machine.... got most of the cosmetics done just waiting on my crank to get the phasing and runout fixed.
