Ported Tracks

This was one of the dumbest things ever. This reduced the square inches of flotation and weakened the cords in the track. The big thing was it would reduce weight, Wow. maybe a pound. Also it would let the snow out of the track, BS. You got more snow in the suspension. Ported tracks are stupid and just a fad. Maybe next we will here of a ported Belt.[/QUOTE

Hey, titmaouse! STFU

You only start a thread like this to start problems. We don't need that chit around hear. You can state your opinions but do it in a more tachfull way!

Backoff, I have the right to my OP. Watch the potty mouth.

I don't have any experience with this ported track thing, but at first glance, it seems like a counter productive idea. I mean, the ultimate ported track would then just be ......wheels??!!! Right??

Ok, I don't get it....

I like your comment, Ha Ha Ha.

The ported track on my 09 XP failed at 5700 miles. Rubber separated between the ports in the middle of the track. I had it replaced with a non-ported track.

So I wasn't supposed to water cross with my ported track???? Funny, I guess the water I was crossing didn't get the memo that I was supposed sink. Maybe I wasn't staying on the water long enough? 100 yards isn't enough? Whats the preferred method of crossing water with a ported track? Probably should remove track before crossing the water then reinstall when I reach the other side. Makes sense, its like taking your shoes off before you cross a creek.:face-icon-small-sho
