Well the lil lady has been really on this "ring" deal. She isn't all into setting a date right away or anything but i was thinking of doing it.

We've been together for a little over 2 years, and have had the time of our lives. We've lived together for right around 2 years, have 2 dogs, have joint bank accounts, blah, blah, blah.


Our "in-laws" would prefer that we get married, we mesh well with eachother's families, and actually am able to have a good time with the 'rents.

I was thinking of at least putting a ring on her finger up in grand lake this new years eve, on the back of my sled.


What do you guys think about this? Do you think i'm doing this a little prematurely? or should this have happened a while ago, due to our closeness in finances as well as our great times together?


Any ideas of really surprising her in grand lake? I need ideas! I know, i know... don't do it. But i really think i (we) want this... :o
 
nope... as much as we like to think the ladies would get off on these kinds of things, sad truth is that not many will... hedge your bets and do something somewhat romantic, the back of your sled aint... she will want to have a good story to tell her friends and etc., give her that...

Take her to an Avs game and arrange to pop the question while you are on the JumboTron. The organization loves to do that kind of stuff!

You might as well bite the bullet and give her a ring. She already has your money and in Colorado, that means you are legally married!

She's definitely a keeper, and i did know the thing about the joint bank thing. Funny thing about the avs game is we were at the one last week. dang ol man...
 
Might as well get it over with.

My girlfriend has actually tried on some rings, damn things were in the $15k-$20k range.

So when it comes down to me having to buy one I am fu(ked! Good thing I got my new 4 wheeler! Because buying a ring first would have put that idea right out the window.

I will probably have to do it in about a year though.

i asked her if she prefers the blow pop kind or the secret decoder kind. she didn't think that was too funny.. :face-icon-small-ton


right after i asked if i can get new slp pipes for my sled.


it went like this...


ME "hey baby i love you so much, you're the best."

HER "i love you too, what do you want?"

ME "i'll do anything my love"

HER "put a ring on my finger, then you can have what you're getting ready to ask me"

JESUS CHRIST! You need to find a new girl friend, man! That one is gonna get you in TROUBLE!

15 large for a ring:eek: Somebody, please tell me what the purpose is for spending that kind of dough on a ring! Did I miss the boat or something?

Why is it ok to spend that kind of money on a ring, but not ok to spend it on bikes, sleds, ATVs or lift kits! At least they serve a purpose! My wife's $2500 dollar ring shows the same thing as a $15,000 ring. It tells people that she is married.
 
first question. does she love sledding as much as you? if so you do have a good idea of taking her out & asking on the sled. if not, then something else a little more romantic would be a better idea.
may be a little premature but.... CONGRATULATIONS!!! :beer;

That is kind of what I said, she is a dentist so when it is "OUR" money she will be paying for it anyways.

She bought me a 4wheeler and a new LCD TV so I can't really complain...AND she let me mod the wheeler! After the ring goes on the finger I am telling her I want a Yamaha Nytro with a turbo, lets see how far I get.
 
hell yea, ask her on the sled. she should feel great knowing you took the time out of doing something you love to pop the question, if she likes riding, all the better. my wife would be pissed if i asked over the loud speaker at a ball game. i know the position you are in we were together 5 years before i caved, it has been great since.:beer;
