i pretty much always hated polaris (just typical biased haha i grew up round doo) but i know a lot of guys with dragons and rmks and they havent had a single problem with em up here and they perform well. ill never trade my cat for one lol, and when i run our REV against the dragon, it doesnt shine over the rev at all. but the one thing that makes me want a dragon over a rev is... have you ever had to work on a rev? it sucks.
im waiting till 09 to see what happens, mainly with cat, they got something big coming...
if you want a good sled, get a yammer hammer, of any year lol

I don't see polaris holding back sales. The group I ride with 6 went out and bought new polaris dragons, But that is from brand loyalty. I am thinking of jumping ship to polaris again we will see after this year.

As much as I personally dislike Harley's, they have definitely got something that the sled industry will never have, an insane level of brand loyalty.

One other factor....with so many XP's on the snow, the reliability, or lack there of, is compounded....Re-sale is going to end up in the tank at the rate there having issues which will equal people bailing on Doo for fear of wrenching all winter.

Not sure, but the new xp's are everywhere. I have only seen one other d8 out on the snow. Ski doo burned me bad. Thought I would try something different. It is amazing at how brand biased you are until you finally take off the blinders. I hope Cat and Poo come back with something that blows us away. Doo's weight claim is what we all have been waiting for. 4 buddies bought the xp compared to 1 D8.

That is for sure, look how the company's copied the rider forward chassis of the rev. First of all they bashed it for being uncomfortable (polaris), then they lost a lot of sales so they decided to copy the chassis in one way or the other. Take a picture of an rmk and hold it up to a picture of a 06 rev, they look a lot alike. If it weren't for doo, poo would still have trailing arms. I hope doo keeps pushing the envelope with chassis design and yamaha keeps pushing the four stroke technology, these two companys have the balls to lead the industry and not tag along like the other two.

kitty cat was the one who stayed away from trailing arms all these years.
