Poll: Who's NOT Riding Next Season, Due to the Economy?

Price of gas, loss of employment, selling your sled to cover bills, how many people aren't so sure they'll be riding next season unless things turn around?

me possibly. got 09 on order and had $12,000 cash saved for the sled and had to use it to live on. I hate to borrow money for a sled, but the economy sucks here in mn. i'm 33 and havn't been with out a sled for 30 yrs, so i'm sure as winter rolls near i will pick it up some way if it means barrowing money for it.

I don't think I'll stop riding because of it, but with the price of fuel that means I won't be going as far or as often.

We'll have to see.

Funny how the price of fuel is the main reason our economy's as bad as it is....

I plan to ride more next year then ever before. I'm in Canada so our economy is on fire actually, the only thing stoping me from riding a lot next year is going back to school so not much time to work. Fuel will not stop me from riding, even if it costs me $100 to fill my sled I will ride as much as I can, granted I only went out to the mountains 2 times last year. Honestly $100 more for fuel per trip sucks, but it won't stop me from giving up something I really enjoy, if I was to poor to afford that much more, I wouldn't be sledding in the first place.

Hope to get a new sled this summer or fall, and will be going to the mountains untill the gas money runs out!!! Which hopefully isn't untill next june;) a guy can dream right

i'll be riding more next season than ever before... even though pump gas prices have gone up race gas hasnt gone up hardly at all, we had the best snow year around here this year than i've seen in 10 years. this next year is gonna rock! sleddin to me is more of a life style than a hobby, if it comes down to it i'll get another job before i quit riding

Well i will be riding but it might be a 1976 everest....as i am get'n ready to sell the newer ones ,do to a as of today about 3 hours ago....divorce....:eek::mad::( i am now a single dad with 2 little ones....when fit hits the shan it covers everything.gas is cheap right now to me.

bummer , went thru it a couple years ago...tough pull in front of ya..but hang in there..life is better after....heres a beer for ya..do your kids proud and be the best dad out there..it helps.............:beer;:beer;

I'll ride just as much, if not more. It really isn't a TON more expensive... just won't drive as far to go as much anymore. There is a lot of great terrain around here, I just need to get out and use it more often.

I usually have a savings account just for fuel and sledding.... this time I'll just add a little more to it.

May cut back on long trips, but I won't change how much or how often I ride.
Being 2 hours from top notch mountain riding helps a lot though.

If gas prices hit $10 a gal...i'll still be riding every weekend and then some just like last year.. Sure, other things will/might be cut down like some spending money but that'll be ok. :)

wont phase my sledding...is my one big release for me...used to be hunting, that has toned down some, but will pick it up as kids get older...
