Polaris warrantee is counterfeit

i'm so glad we have snowmobiler around to provide such enlightened, educational, and informed posts. just don't know what we would all do without him?? it is so nice to have kiddies around to keep us all entertained.

i know, don't feed the troll...

good luck with the sled, but what's the rest of the story?

pv

heck,i might even ride a pro if they go 415#s next year.but i thought they fixed the broken skirt problems.

message me with the VIN and I can help you figure out what is what. As stated above the info surrounding the warranty seems iffy. Why would it even need an extended?

Also ownership does not matter with Polaris or Polaris Star. It goes by vin # only so unless its an aftermarket company change of ownership wouldnt matter.

First off.... a sincere good luck" in getting this resolved to your satisfaction.

IF there is a problem with not having the warranty coverage that you were told you did... It is a Dealer issue... not a Polaris Industries issue.

When it comes down to it... it is a matter that will be strictly between you and your dealer to work out.

I hope that when you do figure it out, you are just as public about the solution and the actual responsible party in another post in this thread.

It would also be best for the person that that is having the problem post up the issues here on the forum in this thread... best not to have second hand info.

Get the info to Trooper and it will be good to see what happened.

Call me at our store with the vin number and all the accurate details and dealer info...I will see what the issue is with the sled, the dealer, and if it's still under warranty, and if we can help somehow. 406-541-3651.

You don't have all the details yet you are never riding Polaris again along with flaming Polaris and the dealer. Really?

Are you hoping the rest of us are going to jump on your wagon?

Not looking for any wagon company, just hoping some pointers may pop up from similar situations. Thanks in advance.

If you are having issues with a dealer, call the manufacturer. If that doesn't get you anywhere then go to your state AG's office, file a complaint with your state consumer protection agency and file a complaint with the better business bureau. This should be first step and it will usually resolve the issue to your satisfaction. Even in cases where the dealer isn't culpable they will usually resolve the issue just to avoid the headache and negative publicity.

If none of that has worked, call a layer. They can tell you really quickly if you're up in the night.

Worst case scenario is you have a dealer that is a real POS, and just plain shady. If that is the case state clearly why you won't do business with them and describe the specifics of YOUR situation. Bashing an entire manufacturer for something that they have likely not even been involved in is a good way to invalidate your entire argument (as is misspelling a common word in the subject of your thread).

Cheers

After buying a used 2011 this fall I can tell you this ext warranty is a pain to transfer. Yes you can leave it in old owners name, but not a good idea. I spent hours on the phone with a dealer and Polaris to get this into my name. If Polaris calls the owner on a claim and the person they call says they don't have the sled, Polaris tells me it will not be covered. Don't just "think" you are going to be covered. Ask questions and check out what you have for coverage!

Iam with ya bud you would think after the 900 and d8 problems that polaris guys would band together, i know if i was in his shoes i would be upset definitly no big sign that tells you what to do when these situations arise. So to me sounds like you gotta get a lawyer with everything you buy or sell because someone is always trying to back out SAD.

This thread is getting way off track and people are getting way ahead of themselves. Funny in a sad kinda way.

I still have no vin, gonna laugh when I run it and the damn thing has a 4 year PS warranty.

I personally know of this sled and know both owners, the sled is a 2011 snow checked Pro with the four year warranty. Why the dealer or Polaris can't get warranty figured out is the unknown.

Really?

Can you tell the class what a LAYER is?

Well, missing a w in lawyer and having spell check not pick it up as layer is spelled correctly ( as in brick layer). Warantee on the other hand appears only in the GW Bush dictionary, and fast typing is far different than not understanding the difference.

Totally rational response.

I just thought if you are going to bust someones balls you shouldn't be walking the same path that person just did.
