i just want to buy the polaris tps tool. i made one before but have seemed to have misplaced it but dont want to mess around building a new one and cant find a place to buy the tool. ordered the spx polaris tps tool but got an email asking for my dealer number and then told will only sell to dealers..

I built one from radio shack parts but i couldnt find resistor that were any good all read to high or to low, so i got a adjustible voltage regulator from radio but then it would drain the batt to fast so i found phone charger that had 6 or more volts then it was perfect, dont mess with the resistors.

Im going to make my own too. I bought the last 3 regulators that they had in stock at radioshack and they were all no good. I ordered a pack of 20 from ebay and I sorted through 7 of them til I found one that was in spec -4.996 volts. Good thing they were cheap.

I just made one and reset my TPS today, it was easy I wouldn't buy one. Cost me about $8 at radio shack 1 regulator, some alligator clips, and 9V battery connectors. Luckily the regulator I got was good 4.99V. I didn't bother with the box and just attached my (-) test lead to the regulator ground.

well hell guess im building one again. polaris dealer wants 90$ for it. i like the adjustable regulator idea post up how you made that. i didnt want the hassle of going through 20 resistors again to find a good one

The nice thing with the SLP power up cable is you can also do all the pcv uploads and tps learn that the pcv needs with out running the engine, its also nice for priming the fuel pump if you ever replace the filter. On my dragon there is a connector up by the front harness going to the hood that you plug the cable in and hook the other end to a 12v battery. I then back probe the tps with my volt meter and adjust. very simple, as for building one, my time is worth more then the extra $10 or $15 that it takes to just buy it. just my .02

i had my tps set last season but with all the messing around with my intercooler and stuff i guess the synchronization screw backed out and fell out of the throttle bodies. so i need to put another screw in and adjust that to the spec with the tool. right now its all up on the bench so its easier to work on
