polaris pro rmk 800 turbos

hey guys i dont know much about turbos but does anyone got any feedback whats a good reliable turbo that works well with a 2014 pro rmk 800 and produces good power and wont kill the pocket book... i know u get what u pay for... but any feedback would be great ....what to buy and what to steer clear from thanks...if theres other ways to produce great power other than a turbo im open to them also thanks again

Boondocker

Boondocker turbos work well on the pros. Electronics work well for fuel and boost management. Carl's cycle in boise idaho sets them up with excellent clutching and fuel numbers. Personally like inner cooled set up.

Boost-it, BoonDocker, Aerocharger, MKT, silber.... If you thought picking a brand was a crapshoot, you get even more choices for turbos! Where are you located?
The above list - Silber. Had a Silber kit last year and got rid of it. There latest kit with the Bullydog tuner has alot of customers with bogging problems, according to another thread on Snowest. This year i went with a Boost-it HO kit. It runs flawless, and flatout rips.

Personally I like the bd, a close second is boost it, only reason I say bd is the plug and play, boost it still splice and cut, buddy actually sold his boost it due to electrical issues.

My BD has been awesome so far this year. They make a simple and reliable kit, there electronics just seem to work. Having Vohk build it makes it that much more reliable and run that much better.

If you don't know much about turbos I would worry more about finding a good dealer. Most of the turbo kits will work pretty good if they are installed and tuned properly. I have a push and love it but that's my opinion. The other thing to remember is you get what you pay for, I know a used kit can be tempting but you won't know for sure what you have and it might be hard to get help when you need it.

With our 14 kit we only solder in 1 wire to the stator harness.
Our 14 kit uses a barometric pressure sensor installed in the XIC that changes maps based on air pressure. We also leave the stock system to make changes to the stock map now. So basically we are running a full compensating fuel package as compared to what we had last season.
The only time the 14 guys are even touch the fuel controller is to adjust boost, but we have that set to change with Baro too. The customers still have the option to adjust fuelling if they want to.
The 14 kits run the same every day and at all altitudes. By far our best setup so far.
Your buddies 12 Pro was our Proto type and probably could have used a rewire. He was also the third owner, so it may have needed some attention.
Electrical issues are not common with our kits. We have seen far more problems with the Polaris controls.

Neil, do the 13 kits that were returned to you over the summer for the voluntary update have the new 14 internal barometric sensor installed?

They do but the map is not set up to Baro compensate. I have some customers testing on 12-13 models with the 14 map and was going to release a new update if customers wanted to switch over. It is very easy.

I just want to say thanks to everyone who has been emailing about our turbo kits, but we do not ship to the US. We can't keep up with demand here in Canada. We probably could have sold another 40 kits this season if we had the resources.
We are gearing up for next season though.
Thanks
