Polaris Pro Rental Sleds at Togwotee

I know something is going on because the Amsoil guys were up there checking things out and getting samples because of engine failures.

i honestly can not believe that a company like togwotee would buy a fleet of first year model polaris sleds and expect them to be reliable. think of the money they are losing obviously you cant rent a sled that doesent run and their season is short to recoup their investment

How many years should a company wait? The eTec was new too, so their only option was to buy the old M8's if they wanted two strokes? Next year there will be a new sled and the year after that we are likely to see new Doo's. I'm glad people waited on the Pro this year. I made a great guinea pig and never saw a problem with my Pro.

I love these posts I will beable to get a pro for cheap. I would like to know how much oil they are going through. I think they are not getting enought oil. I was told by a guy here that he was so happy with his pro since it hardly went through any oil. I just laughed.

i agree. i wanted my sled to be running in the 40/50:1 ratio. i've checked it a number of times and it is right in there. same as my dragon and 07 mod. gee, imagine that, i set the oil pumps on both of those sleds... i would be very nervous if i was using as little oil as some are claiming. 2 STROKES NEED OIL! that has not changed, i don't care what advancements they make in the motors. things haven't changed that much.

Do rental fleet owners get warranties on their sleds from the factory? Do the Polaris typical consumer 4 year warranties have mileage limits... like the sooner of 4 years or 5,000 miles?

If the rental company buys it as a fleet purchase they get 1 year warranty. Only snowcheck models have 4 year warranty. There is no mileage criteria for the warranties.

I would rent them in a heart beat. Most sought after rental sled and very difficult to find. A rental fleet they purchased for $9000 a sled, rented for a $180 a day, probably rented 60 days of the season for an income of over $10000 per sled and then sell for $8500 at the end of the season with all motor repairs covered by a one year warranty. Seems like a no brainer.
