Polaris Pro gear down options?

Looking at gearing down my 2014 pro 600 rmk. I am not concerned with strength, as I think stock is fine now with better belt, but I'd like to gear it down for as little $ as possible. cheapest option I've come up with is Kurt's polaris ($600). Hoping for something less?

I was looking for the same thing the only other option I have found is change the drivers to 7 tooth drivers which will make it somewhere around 238 ratio

That is a good suggestion. I put a 3" on my 800 with 7 tooth drivers and I've liked the lower gear ratio. Any idea on costs for drivers? still surprised no one has different gears for $65 a pop instead of $600!

Tell me if I misunderstand what you are trying to do.

I assume you aren't planning to change out the 2.86" pitch track on the 600 for a 3.0" pitch track.
Changing out the drivers and keeping the same track pitch will gear it down, that's for sure.
BUT, will you need anti-stab kit on the fronts of the rails since the approach angle of the track will be steeper?

Drivers cost a couple hundred if you go with Avid 7t extros. They'll cost about the same as what you spent on your 800.

Drivers and anti stab will be close to $400. I'll probably stay with Kurt's Polaris gear down unless I can find something else. Thanks for the input Scott. My only purpose is to gearvdown my 600 for as little $ as possible. I do like the QD and don't want to change that.

If you are looking to change gearing on a PRO RMK(up or down), I would highly recommend checking out the TKI setup. It comes with a tensioner and has proven to be very durable and dependable. I've got over 1100 miles on my 14 pro with a BoonDocker turbo and this setup this season. I have not had any belt failures. The install was very easy and it comes with very good clear instructions. If desired, the tensioner itself can be used with the stock setup or the Kurt's kit.
