Polaris Axys turbo clutching? What works?

Hi.

I am at low elevation, 2000-3500ft, boost is at 6lbs now, but im going to turn it up to around 10lbs.

This is my current setup, pulls good when the turbo engades and holds rpm at around 8300 well, but i feel like it is slow and booring in the bottom end, so i would like it to be more crisp and pull better in the bottom.

My current setup:

2017 Pro Rmk 3" track option with chaincase, but changed to Conquer 280 track and 3.0 pitch drivers.

10-76 Polaris weights
140-340 primary spring
160-260 secondary spring
42-48 helix

I also have a set of heel clicker 2-speed i am going to try. Also have access to CPC TM weights.

Thanks, Tor

Maybe what you have works. Don't know haven't tried those springs.
But i think changing to a 165-310 spring should be a good idea. Or a 145-320.
May help you lower weight making the bottom better.
And maybe a 180-280 secondary if your turning boost up.

Otherwise the TRS clutching is the alternative.

It works in the sense that it dont blow belts and the clutches are cool, but it feels to slow in the bottom range.

I will order the parts recommended by TRS, just unsure what weights i want to use with it.

Just ordered the TRS recommended clutch parts, except the lightning weights. Will be here in a week or two.

Why not the Lightning weights ?

I highly doubt they will be heavy enough for me. I believe they come in max 78 grams. And when people are running them at 76 grams at 8-9psi at 10.000ft, the 78 wont be heavy enough for me when running 10psi a 3000ft.

Use lighter springs. Look at Torys post he was 10 lbs with 74's. Your lower elevation you might be able to go lighter on the springs yet.

My sled is back In pieces. Soon as I get it back together and know it runs. I am going lighter, lighter, lighter.

You should go with a softer prinary spring like a slp 160-310 or 170-300 so you can run a little lighter weights. I'm running rooster turbo weight 65gr base loaded to 78,5gr with a 170-300, a 50/44-F helix with a 160-240 @7psi here in Sweden (1000-2000feet). Good bottom end pull and great backshift.

I got a tip from a friend of yours about your setup. So i have ordered in the same parts you mentioned in now. Hopefully they will be here by next week. Already have a 165-310 spring and a stock pro ride 56/42/.36 helix to try this weekend, and going to adjust the boost up some also.
Sled pulls really good now also, but it dont come alive before 6000rpm.

Ok, tell me how you like it when you try it!

Also the pro-ride helix might work good to! Try it with the stock 155/222 secondary spring or one with a even softer finish rate if you have. Might feel like hitting a wall after a while with that 42 degree helix angle... yeah i watched your youtube video! Seemed to run good, Wheelie machine with that 155" track:face-icon-small-hap

Heaviest they come is 76 grams

I'm running 71.1 grams, 9psi, 6000'

150-290 primary
140-200 secondary
