Polaris 3 year warranty scam!

actually it does..up to a point..last season several guys reported polaris warranting their tunnels after buckling them...anytime you ever have an issue you think might be warranty..ask the dealer to contact polaris and ask for help..polaris is actually pretty good about stepping up if its not fragrant abuse...or shows signs of mods......I personally have had good treatment from polaris both personally and on customer rigs....

Yeah, I was one of those several guys, tunnel bent right at the brace above the rear drop bracket...spent 5 months dealing with Polaris...I wouldn't hold your breath if you're planning on getting a warranty for the tunnel under any circumstances...

I strongly encourage all Canadian owners who have received warranty documents that are not correct to contact their respective dealers and have them put pressure on Polaris to rectify the situation. It will help if I am not the only one. This affects us all and we all need to make sure this is made right.

Your dealer needs to clarify for you.

I have had very good dealings with Polaris on my sled warranty issues... I did have a modded sled that was denied... but I should have known better for even trying.

As far as I can tell... nothing has been changed as far as the warranty goes.

BYOB... This sounds more like a dealer thing to clarify for you and they will be able to work out the details with the regional rep. Some dealers have better info than others. Keep pushing them to provide the documentation that you need. I don't think that there is a situation to rectify here... just your dealer getting some clarity from the DSM and providing you with answers as their customer.

I'm sure you will get some clarity from your dealer soon if the DSM is involved.

I understand that you are concerned about the coverage, but to call it a scam before your DEALER tell you that they have exhausted all if their sources on this is a bit premature IMO.

Keep the faith... and let us know what your dealer says.

Not sure how it can be a dealer paperwork screw-up as what I have was not even an option at snowcheck time and I have heard from others from a couple different dealers that have the same problem. I also have not heard anyone in Canada that took the 3 year say theirs was correct yet. Still waiting to hear back from my dealer on the issue.

I don't think it was a "screw up" of any kind.

Let us know what the definitive answer from your dealer is.

BTW...What is the name/location of your dealer?

ok screw up might be to harsh.maybe a small mess up by first telling customer i dont recall bumper to bumper then after u get all excited and made em go back and look, well there it is.hope it works out.just dont think poo is scamming everybody.

My dealer is calling it the '4yr opton'. Full coverage the 1st year and ESC (mechanical breakdowns) the following 3 years. Mine is the black/standard version. This is not the '4 year bumper to bumper' that Polaris marketed during snowcheck.

I ordered mine during snowcheck last spring.

Is this what others in the U.S. are being told from their dealers?
Is the coverage different for those with the special snowcheck graphics?

thanks

Is anyone getting any answers on this issue from their dealers that are affected? It has been a week and my dealer has no response from Polaris other than that they are looking into it. There was no answer from the regional rep what the warranty is supposed to even be as far as I know. Letting the dealer deal with it for now but would like some kind of response soon as riding season has started and would like to know what my coverage actually is.

BYOB---another dealer offered to see what my warranty terms are when I provide him my VIN. I will let you know what I learn tomorrow.

At a minimum, all snowcheck owners that opted for the 4 year warranty/$450 option should have the same warranty coverage/terms.

In the US, I learned it is a 1 year full-warranty with 3 years ESC. The 3 year ESC is through Polaris via Assurant (sp?). Apparently Polaris has parted ways with GE and now uses Assurant. The dealer told me all 4 year snowcheck 'bumper to bumper' warranties have this coverage.

To verify this, once you receive your warranty information in the mail, give your/a dealer your VIN and the dealer will be able to see your coverage/expiration date.

I would assume Canadians have 1 year full warranty and 2 years ESC.

I do not know if this is consistent with last years coverage.

x2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mountainhorse, I will leave my dealer anonymous until the issue is resolved, which it still isn't. Very frustrating. PM me if you have further questions about specific parties and we can talk there.
