Sadly, officer Trojan (a fitting name for a dick like him) does everything but follow the rules, in the last 18 months he has been reprimanded over 8 times, got suspended for a few other mistakes and continues to have a "God Complex".
His time is very limited for being a Minocqua police officer.
The town has had enough, and he is standing on very thin ice right now.
He is an abusive little prick, and since they are taking all abuse complaints seriously now, hassling snowmobilers is his new masochistic outlet.
Leave your SLP exhaust on the sled, the Minocqua PD does not have decibel meters to accurately test exhaust noise, only the DNR has those, and even then a ticket for it is very winnable in court due to the mistakes they will make.
Stay off the throttle when you're around cops during cruiserfest, and keep it under 25MPH between the 2 bridges on the lake and you should be golden.
Just be glad Kroeplin is finally gone from the DNR, he would have wrote you ticket for having your underwear on backwards even if you were not wearing any!
Kroeplin wrote a ticket on me for having my aluminum exhaust cover polished and my Y-Pipe ceramic coated. That was easily won in court because he wrote a bogus statute number because no law exists that states you can not modify your exhaust. the only law about exhaust is that it must be under a certain noise level, and it requires a very specific test to determine the noise output from the sled.
I bet you can use a decibel meter from your school, and look at the testing procedure at the DNR website to determine if you are legal or not, if it does not pass, then go back to stock otherwise leave it!
