Please read this

There is no way that words can express how our hearts ache for the victims, their families and their friends. I just saw the Father in-law of Danny Bjarnason on the morning news. Wow! Can't imagine the pain all of that town must be going through.
By reading the words put down on this thread and numerous others on this forum I hope there is some comfort found in knowing that people truly care and perhaps some of us will even learn that this can happen to anyone at any time. Yes 8 were sadly and tragically killed, but I'm betting they saved hundreds of lives by opening some eyes and changing so many attitudes.
May God bless their souls and comfort family and friends through a very tough time.:rose:

Unable are the loved to die. For love is immortality.

Rest in Peace to our fallen brothers. Gone but never forgotten in the hearts and minds of your beloved family and friends.

In a world where snow and nature are a part of your culture... This is a tragedy for the men, their families, friends, Sparwood, Beautiful BC and indeed all of Canada. An accident of the worst magnitude. I think it's safe to say that you have the support and prayers of all Snowesters and all of us here in the USA as well. My heart aches for you all involved. Avy death? Been there, no desire to ever go back! and it happened here again yesterday in Utah, 4th in a week. horrible year.

Stroker, This is a caring place. Keep your faith.

Well said man.
All I can add is..."Ditto"

so so sorry for your losses. please know that your misfortune has been a reminder and lesson to the majority of the sport, we must learn from others mistakes. please don't let these men die for nothing.......learn from what went wrong for them.
rest in peace guys.

Since first hearing about the avalanche in Sparwood and the loss of life involved I cannot begin to imagine the emotion of the families and the town as a whole. My wife and I have talked about the tragedy and the risks involved in the sport. Our thoughts & prayers are for the families left behind, the buddies who remain and those who aided in the recovery of lost brothers. Remember the men with fondness and a smile. May those lost R.I.P.

Snow is my passion
Living life to its fullest
Don't mourn my passing
Celebrate my life
Learn why I loved being outdoors
The fresh air, the view, the peace and tranquilty
I leave behind a legacy - Be passionate about something

So very sorry for the loss of life this last week. From one who can not imagine what the people of that community are going thru will be thinking of all involved for a long time. RIP Gentlemen and hoping the family and friends can heal.
