Do you need to change the chain when you go to the 19 top gear?

20/49 gearing,104 pitch chain
160/350 primary
413 ramps
15.9 gr pins (Team heavy pin kit)
Purple Secondary Spring
DJ Helix
Seems to be good from 3k to 10k, clicker 1/2 @ 3k... clicker 4/5 @ 10k
377 Belt

I only have one ride on it but it seems to be the best setup I've tried so far.

thats what I would run...just adjust pin weight for elevation...BJ

Is the 44/33 helix not a bit to shallow of an angle?

Not for a long track and if you spend alot of time on the hills, works great. Allows a guy to run more primary weight and still have good backshift, better belt squeeze.
44/33, 200/320 17-18g (3-6000ft), 415 ramps and gear down a bit, works great with -166 belt.

Is the 44/33 helix a doo part or aftermarket?

That sounds really really familiar.

You still happy with your setup?

Got another ride in on 6" of new spring like snow, wicked fast when climbing and my R's stayed pretty constant. Clicker 2 to 6K. Track speed between 44 and 52 mph. Never climbed anything big enough to see if it would go above 52... the sled was building speed throughout the climb, hard to hold onto at times. Man these sleds are FUN!

need more snow

Well with the snow we had in Jan and early Feb I got greedy and have not rode for the last two weeks. I was happy with the setup except there were times when it would be inconsistent in really deep heavy snow. It screams in setup stuff. I found my arms were sticky so I cleaned them then rode again but now the rollers were getting bad. Now I have new rollers, just need snow. I also have a different helix that just showed from dj to try. I was explaining to him about inconsistent r's in the deep and he sent me a different cut to try. Scooped a set of 433 ramps to try also as they are getting good feedback. Need to take along a toolbox and notebook.

Hopefully we'll get some pow again so I can try to find the bog you found, kinda been "springy" around here the last couple weeks. What is stamped on your helix? mine says QR5...
Tried the 433 for a short time, bring lots of weight, you might even need the tungsten pin kit to get them to run right. Heard 19-20 grams is a good place to start with them, I tried them with 15g and couldn't go any heavier, they shifted out way too quick, 50mph and tacked out.
