Hey guys I am new to snowest and desperately need your help. I have an 04 1m 900efi that i am selling but at the end of last season I lost spark on one cylinder. Everyone I have alked to thus far has pointed at stator, so i replaced it, still only spark on one, swapped out coil, swapped plug wires around on coil still only fires out one side of coil. unplugged all the hand warmers kill switch and key, same. I cannot find any grounded out wires or anything. why do i only get fire out one side of the coil? seriously frustrating!

It about has to be coil related. Both plugs fire at the same time on those, so you either have spark on both or none at all unless it is the coil, the wires or the caps. Are your spark plug caps good and on tight? I fought one half the winter a few years ago until I discovered one cap was not making good contact. Have also had moisture build up inside the caps and short out around the outside of the spark plug. I put a dab of dielectric grease on top of each plug at the beginning of the season to help prevent that. Handwarmers, and any of the rest of the electrical other than the engine itself should also not have anything to do with it. Are you sure it is spark and not fuel?

Coils do go bad and can lose continuity internally.
