Plastic faring over exhaust?

Plastic fairing over exhaust?

Has anyone ran a Nytro without the plastic around the exhaust? Is there any drawbacks in doing so?

I know that plastic piece has insulating tape inside & without it, the seat may take the heat. Not sure, but just might. It will definitely look wierd.

I cracked that plastic off getting thru some thick trees this winter. Rode for a few weeks without the plastic, no problems.
It does look goofy though.
