placer was sick again on saturday. looks like it is getting slammed with rain down low though.
that was me on the race chassis. think we got pics of that drop on someones camera....
Chad, are you talking about the last jump we kept hitting over and over and then the dude with the 136 mod came over....the one where Larry was taking all the pics?
Yeah that dude..although i'm not so sure it was a 136
IQRIDR... Did you ride your IQR before your mods?? Son is looking to get one after seeing yours at spencer. How was it in deep powder ect.. Trying to figure out how much $$$ this might get me for. Wouldn't be bad if he can ride and stock parts for a season then mod over summer. Thanks for the info..
I bought it as a factory 600 mod with a 136" hillcross track on it, I switched to the camo challenger. It does ok in the deep powder but it has a really steep attack angle on the track, it loses speed up hill in deep snow pretty easily, other than that it floats and manuevers really well..it's really light as well, easy to left and yank on when stuck, easy to throw around in the air or on the ground. I like it alot but one set up like mine will run you around $7k-$8k used..if you build it yourself here's a quick list of approximate costs, it's worth it if you got the coin
-440 Chassis-$4k to $5k
-136" setup w/ track, rail and tunnel extensions- $1000
-I've got about $4k into this motor but you can get a stock 600 for around $1500-$2000
-9 gal tank, re-valve shocks, couple other trail-conversion items, $500-$1000
If you go the way I did with all the mods, I would suggest buying one used to get a break on the cost of everything, otherwise it's easy to spend $10-$13k putting a sick one together. The list above is nowhere close to what I've put into mine but just a basic main-parts cost list along the way. I know it sounds like alot but they are TONS of fun to ride and unlike some others, not everyone else on the hill has one just like it.
