Every year there is a pissing match between sled riders and there sleds. Mine's lighter, faster, more durable, modded, stock, green, yellow, red, etc.
I owned a d8 last year with slp kit, holz front and rear for weight purposes, Carls clutch kit etc.
The claim of 158 hp is bull sh@@, or if so it doesn't get it to the track. I had every bell and whistle on the thing and couldn't get it to run to my standard.
Also owned an XP last year which was better than the D8 but still couldn't get it to run with my 07 800r. Xp mods: hps can, light weight everything, clutched, vented, high performance head. Xp was sold to buy crated 07 800r.
07 800r with holz front and rear, everything stripped for weight, clutched, hps can, trygstad head. No naturally asperated sled can touch it, not an M10( I ride with plenty) with d&d everything, d8, m8, and i wont mention yamaha naturally aspirated.
Everyone thought they would woop our a@@ with no luck.
I'm sure there are tuners like us that can get everything out of there sled, lets meet up. I'm not nieve enough to think people don't have sleds that will climb higher but i would love to see it for myself.
I ride in Idaho 7,000 to 10,500 ft so if your close lets put them side by side to see the winner.
I'm bored and waiting for snow to fly.
