Pipe work on mod

I have an 06 RMK 163, I'm putting an 02 800 VES in it. I wrecked my older chassis, decided to do a motor swap and need to find someone who can do some pipe mods to get the twins to fit. I should have the motor plate done in a couple weeks but need some ideas of good pipe workers. I am no slouch with a welder but don't understand all the technical parts of a pipe.
Does anyone know a good pipe worker in the Laramie, WY area?
Or does anyone have the ins and outs of pipe works?

I have a motor plate that is a direct bolt in for this motor save you self the greef . Check them out on my site if you like. Brad

Hey Brad
I was the one chatting with ya about this project. Which plate would work for the 02 800 motor for the 900 bulkhead. I also have a bit of a problem since the past owner did a crappy job of modifying the bulkhead. He put an RX1 with turbo in it and went a bit crazy with the sawzaw. I have discovered he sucks at quality, both overall job quality and welding.

Any good pipe guys over that away?

saw

You need a band saw. Otherwise the cuts will get all out of hand crooked.
Make a cut and turn the pipe tack it and repeat. Cut a small degree of the angle your shooting for. It might take ten cuts to get a 45 deg angle for example.
Always remember to put back what you take out, meaning if your band saw blade is 1/16 wide, when you tack it back together you must have a 1/16 gap to fill every time or your going to alter the expansion chamber.

Like stated cut and fit and if you are really wanting professional results and cant do it your self fit it all up and take it to a shop to be tig'd. Last set I built I got them done fit up and then sent them to the coater. Later found a pinhole from a sensor I moved. Hindsight, test run them dont just fit them before sending off for hot coat.

Make your cut straight through, take out the piece from your angle cut TO CENTER ONLY!!!!!!!!Put piece on opposite side & weld. Your tuned length is through the center of the pipe only!!!!!!!!!
Remember TUNED LENGTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
