Pilot 6.9 Skis, How do they work in deeper snow?

Inquiring from owners of sleds with Pilot 6.9 skis on how they work in deeper snow in the areas of floation and turning? Do they only use one runner on these?

skies

I have pilots i thought they were good until i rode with powder pros no comparison. Flotation about the same but they took my 151 summit from a school bus down to a good handling truck, i pu the pilots on my trail sled it turned into a ferrari. I think it is a good ski for trail sleds, not very good for a mountain sled. I did try the powder pros on my trail sled and i am not strong enough to ride it like that, way to agressive for trails. 90% of my riding puddys cat, doo, and poo, all run powder pros
Good luck

I personally like them, use only the inside carbides. Course it depends on where and what you ride.

I have had horrible luck with the SLP Powder Pros, like riding a bucking horse on crusty snow, I will never buy another set, total waste of money for a back country sled.

Simmons rock!

Slydogs work well too.

Everyone has on opinion so hopefully you will get more.

I had the same experience with the PP and I am trying the sly dogs this time the PP and the 6.9 were both way to hard to physically turn -need to work out just to rid them

I bought a 440 with the pilots on it. They skis actually work pretty good. But i am still a fan of simmons!

just buy the simmons gen. 2's and be done with it....awesome on the trail and awesome in the deep.

I was just going to ask about the Gen 2s.......

Would these be a good fit for our 06 Renegades?? I'm getting the wife off the trail more and more, but the stock skis suck. I want something that will float good, but will still handle as good as or better than the stockers on the trail.

pilot 6.9

I think they are a real good ski the powder pros work good on the older harder to turn sleds such as the mountain cat but are far to hooked up for a rev i put the pilots on my 06 m-7 and love them
